I reckon the rumour of Limp Bizkit, GnR and Linkin Park is true sadly, just have a gut feeling.

Interestingly I dont think they've had two of the dame headliners return. If they did that, I'd go for Tool, GNR, LP. I'm going for Ghost, Tool, LP.

LB and GNR though would be so poor. How would you get a headliner position playing Wembley Arena and subbing BMTH and not selling out. But it saves me money. Might have me a lot of RAR knock it out as I'll just go there.

Agreed it would be a terrible booking. Honestly think they’d have the worst turnout in years if that’s the booking. I’ll enjoy Limp Bizkit but it doesn’t excite me. I won’t watch Guns N Roses. Linkin Park only one I’d be happy for.

I know they have to hype it up but LB isn't a massive headliner, they did Wembley Arena, one Manchester and one Birmingham. You expect the headliner to be able to do a full tour. LB should have sacked off the arena tour, sacked of Reading slot and done Download instead in 24 likewise Korn then did in 25.

I like GNR more than Ghost but I think Ghost would be the better booking. Going for GNR, Tool and LP is almost admitting ghe 2 year test didnt work for them and it's back to oldies era.

Download won't miss anything by not booking either GNR or LB at this point.

Saving both for '27 makes more sense. Get Guns n Roses to do Appetite For Destruction in full for the 40th anniversary and Limp Bizkit would've at least had a 3 year gap since they last played. Ghost/BMTH/Linkin Park for '26 and Linkin Park/GnR/SOAD foe '27.

For '26 could even book a headliner no one really expects but Download have said is an option like Slayer.

I'd say

Ghost, Tool, LP for 26

LB, MCR or GNR, Maiden for 27

I dont think SOAD will do it. If they come over for 27, I think it'll be to do shows in countries they haven't done like Spain and Portugal but they might not even come back over. I think the own show money to them is too much to be bothered with festivals.

If Download go back to oldies era then there won’t be a festival in 10 years.

No but Kam who is the main man now was Copping’s understudy for years so I can’t imagine he will throw the baby out with the bathwater too much. It hopefully means the end of shite like Steel Panther taking up big slots, though.

Exactly. Whilst he might not book the festival Copping still have a lot of influence given he still works for Live Nation.

GnR

NIN

Blink 182 (still won’t rule then out)

I will say this my mate has been told it isn’t Twenty One Pilots by someone in the know. Think they’re doing Reading and Leeds which makes sense and is more suited.

Doubt TOP will be in Europe June & August.

Apparently the headliner of Good Things in Australia always goes on to headline DL, and its Tool next year. Couldn't be bothered actually checking this though.

A weird trend, but that does check out. I was meant to see Fall Out Boy at Sydney in '23, but they were shafted two or three songs in due to a storm that would have even had Liam Gallagher reconsider the phrase BIBLICAL for a bit.

Bit annoyed about that, but did see Devo, Bullet for My Valentine and a few others.

I just don't see System racing back again, with how infrequently Serj seems to want to tour.
