I still think they can come back in the final phase with some good undercard names (although it is expected they won't)

Only strong one today was Caribou

We can see where the gaps are, let's hope the organisers can too!

The undercard is full of acts that are striving to get their name known, hoping to build a profile and reach a new audience. These acts come quite cheap.

Established acts cost more, a lot more. It really all depends on whether they've cut costs to make money or cut costs to invest in the branding and new night-time plans. Or, whether they're holding a few bigger names back to deliver an impactful third announcement.

My fear (for us and the festival as a whole) is that they've just done it to save money. And that never, ever ends well for the consumer.

I think the line up is not THAT bad... They went into a new direction. No bands like Future Islands, Beach House, Interpol, Bloc Party, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand etc anymore. I've been to Sziget, love the spirit of the Festival, but with this line up I won't be going. But I think this line up attracts (young) people...

These headliners convinced some of my friends (who used to be pretty sceptic) to come along this year so it’s really not that bad. Yes it lacks guitars.

Still need some good names for main stage or ?revolut?a38?or whatever is happening with that one

We should get some “big”-ish names for these stages since there are still enough main slots to fill but i’m not getting my hopes up anymore lol.

Undercard is probably the worst i have ever seen from them.

Maybe there’s another announcement coming focused on undercard names, and the way they’re doing all of this is some kind of bad marketing trick 🫠 We’ll see

edit: also sziget liked one comment saying: bring twenty one pilots

I wouldn't be surprised if they actually have 1 or 2 more "headliners". They had more than 6 headliners on the poster in the past years, so I think there's room for a pretty good announcement, hopefully filled mostly with bands and not EDM or solo acts.

According to the website they are done with the headliners.

There are some bands around that I think would fit in that spot like Idles, Snow Patrol, Vampire Weekend or even Hozier

It says on facebook the headliners are closed now

We knew about Post and Shawn since the beginning and they decided to delay their announcement.

Maaaaybe if they announced good undercard acts today, they wouldn't have anything for the last phase, so they decided to keep them for the next one. For example, Tyla is still missing

do we really believe that...? sounds more like a "yeah yeah, whatever.." to me, considering we already know there won't be any rock act in a headline spot. Again. (because Liam Gallagher last year, L.O.L )

Muse in 2016, (MANY rock acts in 2017), Arctic Monkeys in 2018, Foo Fighters in 2019, Arctic Monkeys + Kings of Leon in 2022 , and that's it !

Since then, the percentage of Rock music has only decreased, both in quantity and in quality.

If the entries were incredible and above the "rock years", I would say BRAVO and shut my mouth!

Except that that's not the case at all, and their policy of "everything for those under 25 years old, and as many cheap artists / EDM acts as possible" exasperates me.

Chances are that the social media team don't actually have any influence or knowledge about the future names and line up. So it's just general marketing talk.

It's not even a case of no touring quality acts. I'd imagine either next year or the year after, it will be just an edm festival. With perhaps a few headliners to sell day tickets.

Which is good ticket sales wise. On the bright side, there plenty of quality lineups mid August throughout Europe.

people said in the last announcement “where are the rock names” and they literally said the same sh*t about cooking.

It must be some slow roast beef…

Which is weird because quality rock acts sell BIG. Year after year they had success with these names. Why they conpletely ignore them is a mystery

Personally think they are just broke after covid. Can't be a coincidence that out of 3 of hungary biggest festivals, 2 have gone.

A lot that pulled people to Sziget from around the world had been diluted. Lineups and price, it's a very competitive market.

Imo sziget has/is struggling on various issues since covid.

Comparing to 2022 when I was last time there...

Justin=Mendes

Dua=Charli

In 22 there were 2 headliners I had zero interest. Now just one. Even subs... Back than I really liked only Stromae now I'm excited about 3 names. Edm lineup is so much better now! So yeah, only guitar is missing but apparently it's on the way.

but I reckon charli or chappel will sell the most tickets , they are both the most in-demand artists atm.

Find it a tad odd that they are at opposite ends of the lineup. Could be down to there schedules though.

Both of them and the 3 day tickets would of flew out. Although perhaps they think the 6 day tickets will.

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
