Olivia's got a gig announced for Milan in 15th July. She's doing festivals.

The earliest one she was announced for (as of now) is 24th June, Ireland.

Can they make her stick around 3 more weeks in Europe? Is she even affordable for Sziget? And as much as I like her, am I even prepared to suffocate among teenagers at her gig? Three important questions with three possible nos.

I think there's a chance we might get Sam Fender as a third headliner on top of Post and Shawn (if it is them).

He's headlining Werchter, he's subbed before, his new album is due early '25 and rumour is that he's also likely to headline Glastonbury. Plus, he's one of the names in the Wishmachine.

He'd be a smaller/cheaper headliner for sure but get them while they're cheap! Will attract Brits too.

I'd be up for that but his announcement has gone down like a lead balloon on the Werchter forum.

She'd be a fantastic booking.

Sziget really needs one of Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter or Chappell Roan this year. And all should be around.

Really trying at least one / if not two / of them.

Olivia won't be in Europe anymore in August...

I believe Sabrina Carpenter is a good target though, even if I'm not a fan.

And I never heard of Chappell Roan lool, sorry guys 🤗 Over 30 years old is being too old now ! 😂

I'm sure everyone on here has an act whose popularity they struggle to comprehend. Maybe it's Adele, or Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift.

With me, it's Muse. A couple of decent songs but can somehow fill stadiums. Do. Not. Get. It.

Amazing when they came out, amazing live shows.

Lost interest after the 3rd album.

Same here ^^ when they became more "pop-electro", that is where they lost me.

But the 3 first albums... ❤️

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
