Oh and now just trump f**king up shipping . How long we got left as a species ?

A lot less time than most people think. Tipping points are being reached. Positive feedback loops are being. It’s going to get faster and faster.

Loving these balmy November days.

Someone just turned $15 into $9600 on polymarket betting on the temperature in london. Surely you've just got to track the tale end of these tropical storms coming over the gulf stream?

You can gamble on the weather now? Good grief.

Tbf I've had flu all week so I can't say I've felt that balmy.

Very optimistic

Nah based on mid-range climate sensitivity estimate I expect. Very optimistic would be low end sensitivity estimates

High end stimates = pessimisitic. There's a lot of people on social media going for that - based on short term trends.

Sarcasm (from me) doesn’t work very well when written down.

From what I understand and have read, we’re in a lot more trouble than most either think, believe or understand

Well like I said there's a lot of that around, and I'm not saying there isn't cause for concern - there is - but still no certainties.

I have to remind myself that 10yrs ago I was arguing with deniers/sceptics pointing at short term trends and leaping to conclusions. I'm not going to go back on everything I said about that now

Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and some countries including the UK want the summit to commit countries to stronger, faster action to reduce their use of fossil fuels.

An earlier text included three possible routes to achieve this, but that language has now been dropped after opposition from oil-producing nations.

UN climate summit drops mention of fossil fuels from draft deal

It’s like we actually want to bring forward our destruction

    • I thought some time back that I could see Get Down Services getting a slot in Woodsies
    • Tickets on sale when I'm abroad (I'm assuming this sells out in minutes), and the actual dates could not be worse for me work-wise. Still going to try to get tickets, of course, but god damn!
    • I'm personally confident that Slipknot will be one of the headliners next year (no insider info just lines up with them likely releasing an album soon)    Then there's the headliner that's never played the festival before which the bookers have alluded to so that's one of Blink, Foos, NIN, Nickelback and possibly Pearl Jam or even Bon Jovi    The third band I also think will be a new headliner who are being bumped up so Deftones, Offspring, Paramore Etc.    I'd love Slipknot, Foos and Paramore but realistically i'd go with Slipknot, Blink and Deftones
    • Loads of people have to listen to music they don't like all day, while at work!   Not much different.
    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
