To me one of the big issue on the left side is talent. I think McDonnell is a decent communicator, while I like Whittome even if she lacks a bit of personality.

However when your shining lights include the likes of Burgon, RLB and Sultana it’s not surprising the message isn’t cutting through. I think the left needs a young, charismatic, articulate leader to come through, the question is could that person get through a selection.

I agree she is very dull, but probably in a job you can get away with it. While she is dull she is clearly very intelligent. I don’t get that from the likes of Burgon and RLB, then again didn’t Burgon go to Oxford so must be cleverer than he comes across.

We can all sound great with expensive PR teams and script writers behind us.

Absolute rubbish, there are loads of MPs in the cabinet and shadow cabinet that don’t come across right. The current labour leader isn’t particularly charismatic, but getting by on perceived competence.

The likes of Burgon and RLB will never cut through, they just don’t have the personality. However that doesn’t mean there won’t be socialist group MPs in the future who have the “it” factor.

With the chances of a hung parliament now increased and Greens taking votes away from Labour, both Tories and Labour will likely focus a bit more attention on Green policies and manifesto etc....although for Labour that could hurt them more when people see how good they are!

So you think nobody has ever been trained and groomed to be able to come across looking and sounding good!!

Where to even start - PR teams and script writers are an integral part of every political party and have been for years and are also part of pretty much every board of top companies as well as most celebraties and companies that provide such services have grown very wealthy...............
Here are some companies that provide such:
https://plmr.co.uk/
https://whitehousecomms.com/
https://roxhillmedia.com/resources/pr-insights/top-pr-agencies-in-london-and-the-uk/

Without these services most politicians would look and sound very different.

but you keep thinki ng it is rubbish if you want.

Given the Daily Hate (aka Mail) is attacking the Greens that tends to mean they have reason to be 'scared' of them as they like to attack potential threats. Personally I hope the Greens do get scrutinised closely, just as long as it is done fairly.

They may receive training (as do the likes of Burgon, RLB) but you can’t just make them someone charismatic or a great communicator. The likes of RLB and Burgon just  dont have those attributes, no different to many on all wings of the political spectrum.

Do you see anyone on the labour left that you see could sell that message( beyond the converted) I am struggling but doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

Mail/Tories aren't scared electorally, but gives the coalition of chaos narrative more bite. Greens are taking votes from Labour.

I expect Starmer gets loads of this training and people still think he's boring as f**k.

A nasty piece of work they should tell her to f**k off …

definitely an interesting defection...she's big on the whole stop the boats thing. She says she will not stand in the next election, Dover already has a Labour candidate. Massively damaging for Tories, and will help seal the deal for Labour in those leave voting red wall areas, but many in Labour will complain about this.
