Now charged with embezzling SNP funds. RIP

Can't be a Westminster Stitch up cos the sg created a Scottish police force. The complaint, the arrests, and the investigation are all 100% Scottish.

Another poor sign that Labour will be much different from what we have now.

I despair.

best thing labour can do to replace the tories is to  say f**k you to the electorate. what would you be willing to give up to get that youth mobility deal?

because every election has to deliver what just-you want, and the thoughts of the rest of the electorate don't matter a fig. better known as how labour let the tories win an 80 seat majority.

I am sure Beryl down the job centre will know if you are sick or not..............................

The announcement from Sunak is just more pointing the finger of blame at people whose fault it isn't to panda to those who think everyone else but them is to blame for how sh*t things are.

I love how they all throw around the figure of people who are economically inactive when it includes people who are students, carers, people who have retired early and people who cannot work due to disability and sickness.

if you take those out the number of economically inactive is actually quite small.

Also, are retired people who can afford to retire early and are out spending heaps of money economically inactive?

the nhs  won't employ people with long term conditions, so why would private employers??

They do need to get people back to work, it's how it is done is the question. Carrot, stick, kick up the arse?

Students are in this large number - they will not go back to work.

Retired people under state pension age who can afford to retire are in this group - they gave up work cos they could. Why would they want to go back to work?

Carers are in this group, they cannot go back to work cos they are caring.

There are actually not that many who can and want to return to work out the total. Perhaps 900k I think from a BBC story a while ago.

Maybe sorting out NHS so people didn't have to wait months/years would help.

maybe a better upstanding of the demographic and social effects from an aging population would help.

yeah, blame thatcher and her "retire at 55" scheme. people took her at her word it was always obvious that it would cause problems.

He's a dead man walking who knows after the local elections next month him may well be looking for a new job himself so is trying the division card to get people on side and voting Tory to save his own skin.
