Lytham Festival 2024

Recommended Posts

After earlier reading the list of bands working various shows and festivals next year for cuffe and Taylor the one band more than anything in the world I want is busted headlining a day.

I think motley crue and Def leopard headlining and having a rock day at our hometown festival will be a one time thing at least true rock at that level.

I'd very much hope they could book another rock show. Obviously won't be touring next summer, but this is the kind of big gig in the north Iron Maiden could do as a one-off. Similarities to Belsonic in Belfast, where they have played a few times - large, open-air event with a bigger-than-normal capacity for their arena shows.

My mate has just messaged me with a screenshot of what looked like Ticketmaster with green day on for the Thursday at Lytham festival which would be f**king mental

I think it's just a glitch because the venue is Lytham green.

Guessing they will go for a big pop act for Thursday, since there's four guitar bands on.

No chance I’d say. APE is an AEG event and Lytham is a Festival Republic event. They very rarely cross over.

LCD is unlikely but fyi Lytham is LN/Cuffe and Taylor operation not FR. LN and AEG do now also share artists so more crossover than there used to be

But LN / FR and C&T are all part of the same group I think

They are but the OP said it was an FR event which it isn't. It's a C&T event

the FR website used to display ownership of C&T in the same way it  it displayed ownership of other stuff - i just checked and it doesn't any more.

Im pretty shocked we still haven't got the last date headliners and they aren't even mentioning or trying to push and get some buzz online at all but there pushing the five day ticket option and whatever.

We haven't ever had the entire line up bar one day missing for this length of time anyway.

Could it be due to something going wrong and the original headliners now unable to play and scrambling to book another instead??

Pulp and Chemical Brother's have only headlined recently so I'm not entirely sure they'd be back, I definitely think Biffy stand a chance though

There's rumours that The Cure are releasing a new album soon which would probably mean they'd tour too. I know it's a pipe dream but they seem the definitive band to have never played

I also listened to the Florence and the Machine Prom the other night and would give anything for her to perform it at the festival, James' orchestral performance was a resounding success and I'd live to see it done there too
