Rock Werchter's full line-up is out. Just give me Liam Gallagher and Kasabian from that line-up and i won't complain no more.
Wouldn't mind Viagra Boys, The Black Keys, Paolo Nutini, Rüfüs Du Sol, Sigur Rós, The Snuts, Stromae and Slowthai either.

From all of these I only see Slowthai coming to Roskilde. Also Stormzy seems quite possible.

Well now that we have the full lineups of Glasto, Lolla Stockholm, Rock Werchter, Mad Cool and almost full lineup of Opener I think it's easy to predict that the last day headliner is either Lizzo, Lana del Rey or Arctic Monkeys, or a combo of 2 of these.

Glastonbury has not a full lineup yet.

Lana just posted on her Instagram that she’s pissed with Glastonbury poster placing, as she thinks that her name should be higher and also that she should’ve not been announced yet if that’s the case, hinting a possible tour or a festival leg, I’m starting to believe more and more that she’s the missing big name for Saturday.

Unless she cancels eveything now 😅

Can you post what she said? Or screenshot. Her insta is private until she adds your request

I mean, it was a-z except top 4. What did she expect lol

Maybe she can change her name to Alana Del Rey

What I don’t underhand is why Lizzo was so high up if she’s not a headliner? However I agree that it’s childish to complain about these things. Anyway, I think we got our last “headliner”.

Glastonbury organisers said that they had a big female name booked and she had to pull off. People say it’s Taylor Swift. As she was on Roskilde poster in the canceled 2020 edition I think she was probably on this one also. That could explain the fact why they are taking so long with the last headliner. In the case of Glasto, they booked Guns n Roses, they are coming to another show in Denmark so it’s something else.

Ah it's ok, I found the quotes.

She has a pretty big opinion of herself.

Well, she is more headliner than Lizzo to me. She is more popular, has a longer career, even se has 11millions listeners more than her right now. I can understand she is pissed off. It's about her status

Well, all the festivals want to be inclusive, she is a female black woman. Now you got it. And don't get me wrong, she can deliver an amazing headliner show (she nailed at Roskilde 2019 in Apollo). I already saw a lot of critics to Glasto because they had only white males headlining, so...

I agree with the points you make.

Although she must know herself her live shows are beige.

She shouldn't get caught up on perceived status cause the reality is she's not a good live act.

Lizzo on the other hand, while she doesn't have the songs her live act and personality wins.

I hope Lana cancels her whole Europe tour. Having seen her before I don't want to wish that experience on other people.

I think Janelle Monae should have been roped in instead of Lizzo for the top line. Maybe not available.

Well, if Lana cancels we will end up without a headliner or with something much worse.

Janelle came in 2019 and was a co headliner, I think it's quite early to bring her back again, but I do hope that she comes, I think both her music and live performances are much better than Lizzo and Lana.

Not sure if Janelle was a co-headliner with The Cure... but Roskilde's definition of a headliner doesnt make sense. 😄

And Roskilde managed to draft in Wu Tang Clan to replace Chance The Rapper in the headline slot when he dropped out like 2 weeks before playing in 2019; im sure they can find someone else if LDR pulls. They'd probably just get someone local like MØ.

I think that if they are announcing something at the end of March, it’s for 2 reasons: either because they don’t have a headliner yet and it’s something they really want to make sure will be there. Either because it’s something special that was not announced yet at other festivals. I would agree more with the first theory, and I think they are just trying to make sure that, for example Lana, is really going to other festivals. Maybe now with this Glasto thing, they are exploring other options, but I’m pretty sure that the linuep on the 31st of March will be the final and definitive one.

Lana says she said no to all the other possible shows to play Glastonbury…

Where did you find that?

Well if it’s not her then I don’t have an idea who can it be, I don’t think they will let neither Lizzo neither Janelle headline on their own. Specially because Lizzo just had a solo concert in Denmark, and although she is very likely to come, I don’t feel she is ready to close the Orange Stage.

Looking at the panorama of the other festivals, Arctic Monkeys also seem very unlikely. Billie Eilish was ruled out from July festivals. Stormzy and Stromae are busy on Saturday from what I found. Travis Scott also. Red Hot Chill Peppers are headlining another Danish festival. Mumford and Sons seem very unlikely. Robbie Williams is headlining another festival in Denmark. Guns n Roses are coming to Copenhell. Muse are coming to Northside. Florence is headlining a festival in Malmo. Unless it’s a surprise, I have no clue what can it be. And things like Frank Ocean, Rihanna, SZA and Beyoncé are impossible.

Prediction:

Janelle Monae or Paramore before Kendrick.

Lizzo (closing)  & LDR top 2 for Saturday.

The Prodigy and/or Pendulum in Arena doing that 2am headline slot.

Paramore are in United States, Janelle seems more realistic, although I think that Wednesday won’t have another big name, Kendrick and QOTSA are going to be the biggest ones for sure. Maybe they manage to convince Fred Again to come again, and FKA Twigs but that’s it.

LDR was mentioned to not be doing other festivals than Roskilde, I hope it’s not true. Lizzo will be there for sure but I think she will be co headliner or a second name of the Saturday.

Just saw that she posted that she turned off other shows for Roskilde. But her tone is weird, I think she was being sarcastic and there will be more shows. If Roskilde agrees to put her as a headliner, she will come 😂

Roskilde Festival main booker of artists gave an interview, the main points were;

-The full lineup will be ready by Easter, so 31st of March (most likely this date) the full lineup is dropping.

-They asked him to describe this lineup, and he said it will be around the concept of “Utopia” (The only thing that comes to my mind is Bjork and her album Utopia 😂) he said that people will see it when all the lineup drops and it will revolve around artists that. Artists that talk about a different and better future in their songs. So I guess it’s going to be a diverse lineup, Janelle Monae talks a lot about the future and androids in her songs, I guess she is very probable. Plus all the inclusive acts like Lil Nas, Lizzo (maybe), Stromae, and others. And ofc the big act needs to be female as it would very weird to talk about equality and only have male headliners.

    • Avril gets above GC on rarity (see Cypress Hill this year). She drew in something like 70,000 at Glastonbury, so much so that they had to close the field off. I’d wager that she would get the biggest crowd of the entire weekend if she was to play DL.
    • We've reasonably predicted/wanted a bill of Blink, Avril, Good Charlotte for a while 😅    I'm surprised that Good Charlotte's UK shows in November seem to be doing well atm... obviously if they sell out those venues then they should be subheadliners right? (if they play download that is). They'd only look a strong sub if it was before Blink though I rekn.

    • I am also interested in this. I was looking for past years, and it looks like it has a limited capacity.  I would love to see Ela Minus, but I guess I won't be able to make it in time, unfortunately.
