It’s almost as if having more of the collective wealth of our country distributed to the lower earners would help keep the cogs turning and be a good thing?

…bring on universal income! Something’s gotta give.

if we were doing universal income, we could do decent tax rises to pay for improvements because of the size of tax rises needed to do universal income.

Labour to continue their imitation of Tories by housing asylum seekers on dodgy barges.

Only temporarily though as they think they'll be able to deport people a lot quicker than the Tories 😁

He clearly didn't read past the headline. Labour have made it clear that, when they come to power, they will have inherited a system where people are housed in these barges, but that they will work to clear it all within months.

kaos knows that finding accommodation is tough, but forgot that for the refugees with his glee to have a go at labour.

It's not surprising given his anti-Labour stance.

For reference here is the article in question where Labour say if they take office they will keep asylum seekers on barges for up to 6 months whilst they work to clear down the backlog.

It was very misleading initially I thought the same … read it a bit later and it had been cleared up … others thought similar

Fair enough, I didn't read past the headline. This is perfectly fair. It had sounded from the headline and a couple of quotes that they were making excuses - not that they were doing it temporarily while changing the system.

the headline is probably important in winning votes.
