I don't really see how she can recover. These economic policies were part of her leadership campaign weren't they? So she can't just palm it all off on Kwarteng. I reckon she'll be out by end of the month. Perhaps even next week.

The problem is the sheer number of them .... the odd U turn I kind of get ..... but under Boris they were prolific and that hasnt stopped under Truss ..... You lose the confidence that they can make a decision that might stick

Kay Burley highlighted the amount of u turns Truss carries out back in the hustings. The warning signs were there for the Tories.

The thing Sunak has going for him is he said this exact thing would happen during the leadership debate. Quite rare for a politician to do it rather from a position of hindsight.

so many policies u turned on .... how does the next person find one that hasnt already been reversed , they must surely run out of ideas soon

Not sure what to think about that. Obviously seen as a unity choice. Maybe more sensible, more one nation Tory whatever that means. But what does that mean for Truss' tax cuts and growth thing?
