ok...so inflation...Truss saying price cap will reduce inflation peak by 5%, but at same time cap also inflationary because more people (rich people) have extra money to spend?

Starmer using the same attack line as Ozanne...dividing line is tories want people to pay, labour want energy companies to pay...I would imagine that will get some cut through.

they'll be numerous prevention tactics im sure ... protests ? legal enquiries . planning ? not sure how long it takes to get these things up and running ?

Starmer has just reminded us that Truss was environment secretary at the time that Osborne crippled the solar industry and she was responsible for stopping on-shore windfarms.

Given @squirrelarmy pointing out her Shell background, it wouldn't be beyond the realm to speculate that those decisions were due to lobbying by her energy firm mates. Can we have a socialist revolution yet?

Somethings going on apparently. Notes were passed to the PM, shadow front bench and SNP. Starmer and Raynor have left the Commons.

I’d love it if all MPs had to declare all the shares they have in companies. Getting it on public record would add transparency.
