Was thinking about that myself. That was the first guess on here when it was mooted that there was going to be more pre erected tents, before Sticklinch was announced. The blue tent thing was mentioned somewhere to replicate the sea. So either you did dream this and  shared the dream with us or its a reality. !

The festival sold out before they announced these options. Didn't change the demographic for this year...

Because it sold out before they announced the changes to pre-erected camping and other site-wide changes.

ok - but where are your statistics citing age group, annual income, homeowner status, education level etc etc... of those that bought tickets for 2020 Vs. 2019 and previous years?

just because you say it didn't change the demographic, doesn't make it so.

This an old thread obviously, and I think there’s definitely merit in discussing whether glamping options shift the festival demographic (I think it probably does, based on anecdotal experience of knowing people who would only go if they could glamp)

but, the idea that people who glamp are more likely to piss and shit on the land is absolutely absurd.

and I don’t get this pride in not washing for 5 days. I didn’t manage to get a shower in 2019 but I tried and I’ll try again this year. There’s no pride in being stinking, and it’s frankly it’s classist to suggest that only those of a socioeconomic class that is wealthy enough to afford glamping care about personal hygiene at a festival.
