I don’t mind queueing for stuff at glasto, the idea that queueing for stuff is a waste of time is odd. All the best food places and smaller venues have queues, worth it for the temple, nyc downlow etc if there’s someone on you want to see

Honestly I never have. If I dont find a free stall I join the queue, but in all seriousness if I went into the stalls, found one, went back to the queue to tell the person, theres probably going to be someone like me doing the same thing who grabs the free stall. 

I never do it when theres a massive lineup at each row and each end of the stalls.... I do it when theres a general lineup and no one in that lineup can see 80% of the stalls and they are queuing for no reason.

I do it too. If people are too stupid to use the available facilities that's up to them. I've had people grumble in the past, in fact at bearded theory, someone had a go* at me for it. But no one was using it....

*Muttered something about there being a fucking queue.

If it was the case that someone hadn't noticed then of course I'd let them go. However in my experience most people in the qué would rather stand and wait for someone to come out  then go and see if there's any empty ones.

Things i’ve queued for at Glasto: Good food and the Earache express. The latter because metal has been such a rare and precious commodity that it has to be supported where possible. Plus ho99o9 were brilliant and absolutely batshit fucking crazy live ???

Nobody other than @kalifireheard of the concept of paying it forwards? There's a queue, for St. George's sake! Being too tired/fucked/lazy/paranoid to notice there is a free toilet doesn't change the sacred principle that there is a queue and being a observant clever pants doesn't give you the right to jump the queue.

The way we make Glastonbury that bit better and special is by doing lots of little good deeds.  Damnit, I've even told someone about a free trap when I don't even need to go. What's wrong with you all? The queue is moving quicker now, so you'll get to go soon.

I'm shocked I tell you, shocked, but worse than that... disappointed.

 

My tongue is somewhat in cheek with this post, but I'm genuinely taken aback by the mercenary approach. Lecture over ?
