Theres probably a 'Fn lock' on the escape key, give that a go.  Should be F5ing with the best of em after that.

That's strange alright.

I also have a Dell and all my function keys (F1 - F12) all have primary commands with the function - F5 for instance, being the secondary command.

So to do a refresh, I hold the 'FN' key and hit F5. Pressing F5 without pressing the 'FN' key will only do it's primary command, which in your case is the volume

Sorted, just need to toggle the Esc button with the FN lock on it

No back in the F5 club.

I think he means Ctrl-F5, which forces the browser to get all the elements of the web page from the web-server again, instead of the more usual method of just getting everything that hasn't changed (by timestamp) from the local cache of stuff on your machine

Which could result in a no-deal refresh

it normally crashes and you need to refresh after every page if i remember from previous years.  So i believe its

1. holding page (refresh till you get through)

2. Select your coach day (will crash so refresh till you get through to the next page)

3.Enter details (reference, postcode. will crash so refresh till you get through to the next page)

4.Departure destination and payment?

I have never had the pages following the "Purchase Ticket" page crash. Always plain sailing for me once I get past the holding page.

And from memory, I think departure destination is the first thing you enter after selecting the day for the coach, then reg. details (they may even be on the same page), then some disclaimer / confirmation of details, then the payment page

Trying to work this out on my mac. Can use either Command + r or fn + F5

Both look like they are refreshing everything. Not sure how to get around this...any ideas.

Apologies if this has been answered, but do not think so.

I *think* Command-r and fn-F5 are simply two different ways of refreshing a web page. Command-r is the 'normal' shorcut for it on Macs, but if fn-F5 is doing it too, then you've got a new option to do if you get bored with the other one!

Ok, now this thread had got me all in a tizzy.

Am on hol in Johannesburg and will be using a Samsung Tab 6 tablet and a Galaxy 7 phone on wifi. Access will be via Chrome.

Not aware of an F5 option on this system so will be refreshing by hitting the curly arrow symbol  at top of screen next to Web address box.

Does that hard refresh our soft refresh? ?

That's the same as F5, ie. soft refresh (uses local cache)

    • My party again had an outstanding 4 days in Barca. We made the right call to leave the festival site early at about 10.30 on Thursday to get ourselves some excellent steaks in the city. I am with everyone that the organization should have been clearer about what is going on and also if you would like to get rid of some attendees open more exits, they sent us from gate to gate until we finally were able to get out. Biggest 'disappointment' was the beer price, a YoY increase from 5 to 6 is absolutely nuts!!! (i am living in Switzerland so me making this comment says something 🙂)   Top 10:   1. Men I Trust 2. Role Model (could have been first as well, what a great artist and great songs) 3. The XX 4. The cure (the last 90 minutes) 5. Gorillaz 6. MBV 7. Ninajirachi (another big miss of the organization, clearly on the wrong podium and wonder if Olivia's surprise set had something to do with that and they had to reschuffle late the Occident, Cupra and Port schedules) 8. NewDad 9. Big Thief 10. Annastashia      We did 3 years Barca now and for next year looking at the Porto or Bilbao festivals as an option.
    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
