Hey, has anyone heard any line up rumours about this years festival?

or even when they will be announcing the line up?

this festival is amazing, I'm going to both this and TRNSMT this year and to be honest I'm probably looking forward to this more

Probably a while to go yet before any announcement. If they are planning on more tickets this year then probably a stronger line up on the cards.

They'l defo increase the capacity next year. There was no bugger camped up the hill of doom where you were comfy.

I could see Franz headlining one night this year.

Colonel Mustard on the Friday would be a good shout.

They are elsewhere on the Saturday.

Neil pointing out on the Kendal thread that he expects Shed 7 will be doing a lot of fests next year.

I’ve got my eye on a new spot next year. The younger squad spent a lot of time in the park so thinking over there plus nearer arena.

It says on their twitter that they will announce stuff late jan/early feb so hopefully not long to wait now.

I missed last year due to a holiday unfortunately, but I was there the year before for the Charlatans/Primal Scream... what a weekend

Franz Ferdinand & Shed 7 are a good shout... Happy Mondays were a band that I thought could be a shout for a headliner too

Should get an announcement today. Good to see there's a Thursday as well this year.

Would Franz Ferdinand do it given they're playing a decent slot at TRNSMT? Rival promoters and all that.

Trying to think who else would fit. Twin Atlantic. Texas. Everything Everything. Mogwai. The Vaccines. Slowdive. Django Django. Editors. Idlewild. Snow Patrol. MGMT. Travis.

I was thinking maybe Vampire Weekend since they're doing EoTR the same weekend

I think Vampire Weekend are meant to be a UK exclusive to EOTR

So they are, Festival Number 6 are announcing today too so maybe they're sharing a headliner.

Looking at the EOTR lineup though, I'd take St Vincent, Gruff Rhys, Hookworms, IDLES, Julien Baker and Protomartyr.

The addition of Thursday is class, an extra night will be quality

 

I'm totally stumped with the line up, it really depends how big they want to go with headliners... Reading and Leeds is around the same time, I wonder if we'll get a few of those bands

The Libertines & Kings of Leon are both doing festivals around the same week, would they fit?

I hope not! In all seriousness, maybe acts like Pale Waves and Hinds might appear from the R/L lineup.

No way Libertines or KoL will play, both far too big surely.

Yeah I thought KoL were too big as well, but have the Libertines not done some smaller gigs as of late?... once again, it all depends on how big they want to go with headliners I suppose, they have expanded to an extra night so they might be aiming high this year

Friendly Fires are also doing TRNSMT - but who knows if that actually will effect Electric Fields bookings.

aw aye so they are, yeah picking a headliner that played at a festival just up the road 2 months before, might not be a great idea for ticket sales
