Uncle Liam
By chance does anyone have the footage of Bob Geldof and Michael Eavis on the Pyramid Stage from the Saturday in 2005? I need it for a class and the BBC have taken it down.

VolumetricFox
Depends on your timeframe, but you can ask the BBC for it. Send them the link to the original article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4620635.stm# - the worse they can say is no.

As bad as bonio and his drivel.. he was also banging on about the G8 summit in Gleneagles - We had a extra briefing when we started so the WBC knew about it about just before the bars were due to open { so say 11am or just before } it was not say 14.00 or 15.00 - it was something weird say at 14.08 or 15.08 - the note did the explain why they picked that exact time. I had great fun telling the Customers ' don't blame us - blame Bob Geldof ' Now as to what they thought was going to happen - I think they thought people would rush to the Pyramid but I did not see many rushing. the only other time I have seen that happen was at Reading when Oasis played - My Team was working in the Guest bar and Oasis had a clause that stated the guest Bar would be closed for 15 minuets before they went on until the end of their performance Now in that case we were all in favour as we got to see their full act but I know the Guests were not chuffed. Both companies are registered in the British Virgin Islands and have London contact addresses linked to Geldof's accountants, O.J. Kilkenny. As Geldof is a non-domiciled taxpayer, it means the houses - together worth an estimated £4m - would avoid the normal inheritance tax of 40%, or £1.6m." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/band-aid-30-bob-geldof-interview-cut-after-singer-swears-in-response-to-suggestion-band-aid-singers-9865709.html
arcade fireman
Ah yes, 2005 when we were all asked to hold hands at a designated time to "Make Poverty History". That campaign worked brilliantly. Did exactly what it said on the tin in the end.
The Nal
It was between 4 and 5pm on Saturday. I remember being far away in the Guardian tent watching Emiliana Torrini who was on at that time https://www.theguardian.com/music/2005/jun/17/glastonbury2005.glastonbury

Uncle Liam
It was after Kaiser Chiefs as I recall. I was stumbling back to my tent to *ahem* restock. Of course it ended up a total load of bollocks, but it does help me explain why some poverty campaigns are doomed to failure!
matt2007
I was watching Chas and Dave at the time in the acoustic tent and we all had to stop dancing to do something, what I cannot remmber
