Rob said ages ago they have already got 3 headline acts. Also said they will be announced towards the end of Jan, all 3 at once. He said on Twitter when asked who the headline acts are he said he'd like to know too (this morning).

Has someone dropped out?

 not strictly true, but ok.

We usually don't say this until we see the final headliner announcement. ;)

Is that the festival forum 'code'? :D

Ive said it and can't take it back now. And I stand by it, someone's dropped out. I expect Robs been on the phone to Florence and the machine or maybe this is the year to Kitty Daisy and Lewis get a headline slot?

I'm just joking before you all have a strop.

Itll be interesting to see who.

No man it was a joke. I meant the last headliner is usually puzzling: Wiz Khalifa and Sean Paul, Chic ft. Nile Rodgers, Fatboy Slim... Missy Elliott wasn't so bad but the news that she'd 'completed' the set of headliners - silently promoting Duran Duran up a slot - was the "what happened there?" thing.

I think most of those went down well though so fest knows best I suppose.

Hola,

I was dead set on trying Bestival this year, so much so I've been tweeting Rob Da Bank questions to do with the festival. However, it would seem that judging by posts on ere that it's going down the pan.

The whole reason I was considering t again, was because it's moved site. Do people not think the move will be a good thing for Bestival? Having serious second thoughts about going now :/

Childish Gambino would be the dream, would he headline?

Well it is/was going down the pan, which called for extreme measures of relocating and downsizing. From what I can see people on the mainland have received the move positively. Where it goes from there is anyone's guess - just gotta wait and see what they come out with. Wouldn't let it put you off.

And nah I don't see him headlining yet but he'd be high up. Doubt he'll tour outside the US much seeing as Atlanta S2 has been delayed for the Han Solo movie filming. Would be cool though.

I had a conversation with RDB on Twitter tonight, and it seems as though Bestival is getting a complete revamp this week.

Guess we'll see. Announcement was on a Friday last year I believe, so I'm guessing we'll hear this Friday.

Ah, maybe that's why the announcement's not happened yet.

As for his "it's all changing" comment, I suspect that means that there'll be day tickets on sale.

My question to him:

@RobdaBank @Bestival also, If I buy the wild Copse camping ticket- does that include an actual weekend ticket?  Or do I have to buy separate

His reply read:

@Hawky93 @Bestival hold fire til we go onsale v soon mate as its all changinG!

Would he say that if I was just day tickets? I didn't think Bestival did day tickets.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
