Dreamt about glastonbury last night, waiting for RH at the pyramid :D

That sounds like more of a nightmare, though it depends if by RH you mean Radiohead or Rolf Harris.  Actually both are probably nightmares.

Counting down the days to Glastonbury? Who does that? Even for die-hard fans, this seems unlikely.

Clearly, this thread is just a PR stunt. But what for? Balloons? Ice cream? Rolling papers? Windows98??

What SomersetLive has discovered is obviously just the tip of the iceberg!

No Marcoolio not a PR stunt, just an bit of harmless fun that has been running for a few years now.  Certainly, as far as I'm concerned it's nothing to do with selling tents, or anything else.  This year I don't even have a ticket, though I'm still hoping for the re-sales.  I don't work for any firm that sells anything.  I'm trying to retire but I keep being asked to run more training courses, mainly for a firm that makes and sells cakes. Even then I'm not paid by the cake firm.  I'm paid by a trade union learning fund. And I don't have a tent, I've got a caravan.

If I have to explain it, it clearly wasn't funny.

Nice one Marcoolio.  Do join the thread. Sorry if I misunderstood your irony.

What part of Holland do you live in?  I have an old girlfriend (now just an old friend) who used to live on The Singel in Amsterdam and now lives in Delft.

Cheers. I used to live in Rotterdam, now I live about 50km east of Amsterdam.

    • Am a relative amateur in the ticket/tech shenanigans and not part of a large group etc. but personally preferred the F5 bashing approach and got through twice in recent yrs (plenty when didn't, mind) - 2023 but it crashed on me at the final hurdle and then again in 2024 where I held my nerve when it crashed again and managed to get.  Think now I am committed to volunteering if doing festivals as that's close to my heart, so happy to help others when the time comes round.   The most impressive I've seen was bus sales in 2022 when 2 mates casually bagged tickets while in San Sebastian, on a phone inside the stadium during a Real Sociedad v Man Utd game!
    • I wouldn’t be surprised if it was £425.  If I recall there was a significant jump about 10 years ago and with the prices of gigs significantly inflating in the last couple of years I can see another big jump coming.
    • I think they are just sold out ..... I find it highly unlikely that the entire arena wouldn't go on sale for a band the size of muse straight away.   Theres also some in those blocks on sale on resale sites
    • Personally, I do hope Fontaines headline next year. Feels like it's their time in terms of the contemporary element - I know 2028 could equally be but I think (and speaking as an old git) they are probably the most significant band to emerge for a good few years, and they've already accumulated 4 great albums, let alone adding 5th, to field a memorable setlist.
