Our group is after 3 tickets preferably going by coach, what is the best way to go about it? Try for 2 lots of tickets in the coach sale or use the general resale then get national express tickets? Has anyone used national express before?

I'd try for coach tickets, if you manage to get three then great if not and get two then you can try in the general sale and wait for your coach to be allocated to the two tickets, then book a coach for the same time direct with National Express? I'd do anything to maximise my chances, personally

Having not bought coach tickets before, and just bought a coach afterwards, I do have one query.

Are coach tickets sold by the time of departure?

I only ask because I want to go as early as possible on the Wednesday. But is it possible that the only ones left by the time I get to the ticket page will be late-afternoon, or even Thursday coaches?

Will I then be left with the painful decision to risk waiting for the General resale instead of getting coaches at the time I wanted?

Edit: just seen this in the Questions section, sorry.

So am I right in thinking that for coaches other than London, you get to pick the day but not the time?

I can't decide whether to try for a coach ticket.  It'd just be me going but I won't need to take a tent as my daughter is working there and will put my tent up as soon as she is able to in whatever area she thinks best.  She also says she'll sort out my food and booze.  So I'll be able to carry everything I think.

But at the moment, I've only got definite leave on the Friday and Monday.  Time off was looking tricky so I asked work if they could at least guarantee that on the basis that it'd be better to only get down on Thursday late rather than not at all.

So do I risk upsetting work by asking for at least another day (preferably two) only a week after saying that as long as they could guarantee the Friday and Monday that was fine until nearer the time?

Decisions, decisions.

I'm surprised this thread and other resale threads seem so quiet! I'm bricking it over tomorrow evening and will be shaking like a leaf come 6pm. Tell me I'm not the only one?!

Yep, today is the day. Nervously excited. Good luck everyone.

Not sure if this is the right thread for it, but does anyone know if National Express coaches get queue priority at Gate A the same as the See coaches?

What do you mean queue priority? Once you're off the coach you all join the same admission queue as far as I'm aware.

There was talk in another thread about people getting off the coach and getting in quicker than people who had already been queueing? Sorry if I'm talking bollocks.

We were on the See coaches last year from Bath at 6.30 and we definitely didn't start at the back of a queue. We were in very quickly.

People coming from the Car Parks come in via from a different direction, and they sometimes get held back (especially first thing Wednesday) to allow the Coach Station area to clear.
