It depends from you're searching for. In august I've done few Sziget, some Pukkelpop and a Frequency Festival. Pukkelpop is more music and less party. Sziget is party all day/night long but I've never really enjoyed music. Frequency is quite good but I think Sziget and Pukkelpop are better. ilbeyene
I've never been to Frequency but Sziget is really on another planet compared to Pukkelpop basing on everything those two festivals offer. The only thing I'd steal from Pukkelpop is The Shelter stage as Sziget does not have anymore an only hard rock-metal stage.
Uncle Liam
Frequency is a fucking shithole

I had a great time there...maybe it was a little dirty and people were too young but the line up (2012) were a total blast.
neacaisa
another romanian festival from that weekend put royksopp and the kooks on the table
Uncle Liam
The lineup in 2012 was the best one anywhere in Europe, at least in July-August was the best. Shame I couldn't hear anything but the traffic going past on the autobahn. I just didn't like it, the dust, the dirt, the inadequate sound... I agree..another thing is the split day park/night park...20 min walking..
Uncle Liam
Well The Kooks would make sense because they were on recently and we all know how much Sziget has liked a good re booking in recent years.
pete76
Massive Attack are playing festival in Croatia one week after Sziget
Uncle Liam
Well I knew I was going to be disappointed... Last Shadow Puppets, Roisin Murphy, Years and Years, Jess Glynne, The Lumineers, The Neighbourhood.
Nimrod
spotify playlist updated, Last Shadow Puppets, The Neighborhood, Lumineers, Years&Years
neacaisa
so last shadow puppets first headliner?
Uncle Liam
Muse and rather pathetically... David Guetta. When will these people learn?
gingerevans84
I'd imagine Sigur Ros was the first headliner announced.
Uncle Liam
I've said it before and I'll say it again... Guetta in 2013 was a disgraceful booking totally out of his depth. For a so called 'end party' it might as well have been a funeral. Shitty half arsed lasers, sniping at the crowd because they aren't interested in his shitty re mixes. I'm amazed, genuinely amazed that they've booked him again. Still, there's your end party.
Noeliam
Did they say that it was the end show? MUSE alone makes this announcement amazing for me!!!
Uncle Liam
Well I suppose it will be.

Thrillhouse
Don't care about Guetta but Muse is a fantastic booking for me. May well book Sziget and just give Werchter a miss this year
king_oxymoron
This hasn't done enough to convince me to get tickets for any part of it. I like Muse (though I am going to Glastonbury and there's talks of them there), Years & Years and I like the component parts of Last Shadow Puppets but not fallen in love with Miles and Alex as an act together yet. Was really hoping with the amount of festivals they are doing that Two Door Cinema Club would show up. Any chance do we think?
Nicklord
Well, see you all on Muse day 4 hours ride, worth it
