Secret resales 2015

We have previously got the coach with one of people with a coach ticket driving the camper down. Tickets where handed to the lead Booker in an envelope. Didn't check individual tickets and passengers.

If they had we would have said that the guy missing had been delayed therefore missed the coach but will get to the festival the following day so we would need his ticket.

No body asked so didn't test this.

Ok. I did get through to the link but wanted to see if it was ok to get tickets. Is it likelt there will be a secret resale today?

Your guess is as good as ours.

(Maybe not, but it is entirely possible there will be a resale today, tomorrow, Friday, next week, whenever)

My theory...

See might be sorting out some screwed up transactions or special customer cases that need resolving (e.g. "You refunded all my tickets but I only wanted 1 done!". It could be that they're able to restrict tickets available according to specific registration numbers so everyone else can't get through to buy but the people they want to can.

Sounds plausible.

Whats annoying, if im right and theres only, say, 4 tickets from london and 2 from brighton on sale, they could be bought without us even knowning about it!

I'm so confident that at least one of us would have got them if that were the case.

On our coach we were handed the tickets individually.

bugger. How much stuff can you take on a coach? Tent, 2 camping bags, pillows, sleeping bag, alcohol box and trolly too much?

If you know anyone who is going by car you might be able to get them to take some of your stuff?

Coaches will be today I know it! Too much activity for them not to happen! They are testing the links for either 2pm or 3pm. Personally I think from 4pm and from previous sales will be too late. Too much activity on the site for it not to happen!

So is it just coach ticket secret resale then? No general tickets?

I thought on previous years the sales were different days but it's so random you just cannot predict it. There is likely to be more GA tickets than coach I would expect.

I can't go on a coach due to a disability. I filled in and got to point of sale just to see and I'm sure I could have purchase! What I'm saying is that I think they have all been sold in 3.3 seconds!

As in you were able to select a number of passengers and were prompted to put in your card details etc.?

Possibly, that's what a few people were saying on Monday.

There wasn't an option to buy them. None were on sale just then, I'm 100% sure of it. A test run.

    • I see, well even if they aren't on sale it's still not a disaster sales wise, it's not like they are struggling to sell a half capacity areana
    • Blue dot wouldn’t be a thing if Ticketmasters dynamic pricing went down as well as up, it proves that the dynamic pricing was just a scam to make more money rather than something that moved with the market supply/demand.
    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
