The "there is no secret sale" is evidently untrue from previous years, but I have to say I'm not reasonably concerned that there may not be one this year, probably for the reasons they have stated in that email.

But werent those comments on secret resale from SEE and not Glastonbury in previous years. Anyone know if they upped the capacity of paying festival goers this year? With the addition of new areas and talk or lots more tickets wanted for staff maybe it has effected the secret resale?

Poster said they contacted SEE but the message was signed from Glastonbury festival. General consensus was to not believe SEE but how do people feel about glastonbury stating no resale?

if any tickets have been returned then these will mainly be general admission tickets, which deserve to go to the public. crew etc are allocated tickets which they pick up on site and get different wristbands. i think there will be a secret sale. and i think before they announce the full line-up around 31st may. i can't handle sitting here for another couple of weeks. my sis may have to miss out this year if thats the case! (sorry sis)

Except they would not say that to someone asking - imagine the anger if they said sorry no resale cos we gave em all to our mates.

True, still if they are lying about that bit......?

Try and make them aware that, based on the secret resales that have happened without fail for years, there are hundreds of people witing at their laptops to try and get tickets. They need to release a full statement admitting the previous years of resales happened, but won't be this year and a reason. If they do that from an official sourse (website, twitter, fb) then that's me out.

I think this is a great idea!

The message is the same every year - I don't see the point is in continually asking them. There might or might not be one, but they'll always say there won't be.

Agreed there really is no point into keep on asking them.

If they said yes they would need to make it public and we do not want that.

It's not just Glastonbury. Most venues release extra tickets closer to the date, it's always down to the production numbers, guest list etc.

They may not have tickets today but they may in an hour, tomorrow, 3 weeks or never so the official word has to be no.

The thing is, they've never called it a "secret" resale. I've seen it referred to as a "flash" resale officially, but never a "secret".

So maybe they're just fucking with us over semantics.

Its just an unadvertised sale due to there being so few tickets to re-sell

No normally they say there are no planned resales but keep an eye on the website. They aren't saying that this time...

i was getting at them denying it then a resale happening. i guess it just depends what person you get for the excuse they give

Ah ok, im not too familiar with the workings of festivals. My assumption was they could do what they wanted with a few hundred tickets. I hope youre right!

I bet some of those 'Production tickets' were on Get Me In (other ticket re-sellers are available) for double the price

If it wasn't happening they would say so on twitter, website etc.

The fact that they're not, and just repeating the same old mantra to individual enquirers means it's definitely ON.

Mark my words!

Bizarre reasoning. The website clearly states the festival is sold out. They've never announced anything saying 'there'll be as couple of tickets on sale sometime after the refund date'.

There's no rhyme or reason here. There might be more tickets, but there might not be.

The festival is limited by the total number on site and can flex punters/crew as it wishes. See cannot however - it would be Glastonbury festival's call and that is where this email came from. The horror! the horror!

PS I am still hitting f5 :)

If I'm honest thats probably enough for me. Been taking over my life for way too long. They have pretty clearly stated that it is not happening so thats enough for me.

I don't think they would make a public announcement to put us out of our misery. In doing so we will only come to expect that every year thus killing the element of surprise that they love to keep. It'll either happen or it won't but dont expect an official announcement to st us free. I am still optimistic for the resale though :)

    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
