I thought after 21 Glastonbury’s that 2022 would be my last - I was in a lot pain from arthritis in my hips walking with a stick and limited mobility to get around the site ( I later found out I had a collapsed hip!) and I also got COVID so by Saturday was feeling grim. Failed to get tickets last year but had come to the conclusion I wasn’t going to be fit enough with both hips getting worse to go again. 18 months later I now have 2 new hips ( 2 ops in 10 months!) and am volunteering with Oxfam! It may have been my last as a punter and start of a new way to experience Glastonbury in my retirement 😀

Old time sailors who are already on the Avalon poster doing a walkabout down Williams green would be fun. -

I was there too and it was amazing. I only saw him live for the first time last year at Villa Park and was blown away so jumped at the chance to see him again. The set list was varied, lots of crowd pleasers but some more obscure ones too ... I think it changes a bit every night. His interaction with the crowd was lovely, and he and his band seemed to genuinely love every moment. To be performing for 3 hours straight is some feat! And praise too to the venue - I've never been to the Principality stadium before and it was fantastic. Really well organised, easy getting in and out, no real queues for anything, and having the roof on added a different dimension. Loved it ! -
I think this year has to be the year I make the effort to see John Cooper Clarke
