What have you done to get ready for Glastonbury 2015?

Why is a westerly approach preferred? Out of interest.

We tend to camp that side, usually dairy, or in bushy last year so always head for gate D, makes for less of a trek across site. Makes it easier to meet friends arriving off coaches as well. One of these years we should probably have a change, but I think I'd miss my late night stroll home through Silver Hayes, I'm a creature of habit!

Purchased some babywipes from aldi. About as luxurious as my spending is going to get over the next 4 weeks :)

@Londontom, some of the fares have gone down as well (annoyingly, I could have got there and back for half what I paid a few weeks back when I chose the cheapest fares available).

I bought a tent off Ebay 3 days ago, getting bit worried because I've had no communication, they ain't selected the dispatch option yet, so I've message them 3 times, but no reply

Dont worry too much yet mate,

Did they have a good feedback?

Are they in this country?

What date does the estimate say on your puchase details?

Have a little look at all that and fingers crossed for you there,s something simple like they are on holidays or something silly like that,

I run an ebay shop so if you need any help feel free to PM me and i,ll try and help you out if needed.

Good luck dude. :thumbsu:

Just had a look again, they had 145 feedback, then noticed that they are part of a camping company, so typed it in google and got there number, just gave them a ring, and all sounds good, they will be dispatching soon, feeling better now, Im guessing they are busy with it being a shop, it also said it closed Wednesday on there website, so all good, i can relax now, thanks for your reply anyway.

Still ummin and rrrring about which walking boots to purchase - karrimors look decent

Avoid the karrimors, they either leak or are sweaty as feck

How many are you planning on taking?

Not sure yet. The shop I just bought these from said they might be able to arrange a case of one that I particularly like. I reckon 15-18 tops. I really don't drink that much and will be topping up with a few cold pints on site.

Its odd for sure! Maybe they think all Londoners have more disposable income the rest of the country =p

Started getting my ales together. Hope they make it as far as the festival....

One of the brewers from ska was over in Dublin a few months back launching modus, got to drink the stuff for free all night, seriously tasty!

How you'll be able to hold onto a nice selection like that for a month is beyond me though

Got paid! Crunched the numbers and got a credit card as well (I know, I know), just to be on the safe side (don't want a repeat of last year when I ran out of money on Sunday morning).

Taxi to the Show Ground paid for, Downmat sleeping mat purchased, and tarp hat ordered.

That's it now, for me. Currently just 19 days until I step on a plane to the promised land.

Re National Express coaches; if you book 4 seats you get 25% off. Found this out when i booked ours about 6 weeks ago or so and assumed there was some sort of glitch and said fuck all initially as i thought i'd get collared eventually.

How are the trains instead of driving down? its about the same cost , can we take a sack truck?

I can't speak for the train to Castle Cary, but on an intercity I've seen plenty of people stood by the bogs with a loaded sack truck on their way to festivals plenty of times. It's certainly no problem if you are going to Reading.

Caveat: It's only going to be ok if everyone doesn't have the same idea. Much like everything else at the festival.
