Today is a good and sunny day. Hope all is good in Tinterweb world for you all. Matthew E. White will accompany me today, whilst I firefight on some problems, and Alabama Shakes will be coming round too. Lunch will see Jeff Lynne arrive, before I make dinner with Bob Dylan.

Morning everyone from the still sunny Midlands.

Heresy though it may be, my lawn really could do with a bit of r***, and the ground is so rock hard it's putting my young rugby players in significant danger of injury!

Happy for there to be some w*t stuff now...get it out of the way, get the land greener, and then it can bugger off for 10 days in mid-late June!

Haven't posted much last few days as very busy at work, but all good here. Loving the pictures of my new BFF, Stevie. Yes, I think a monkey probably best depicts me! Like russycarps, I am very fond of the orang utan (and yes, I know it's an ape, not a monkey!).

REALLY want that next announcement now. I was always going to be more interested in the undercard than the 'bigger' bands - even though there's lots on that first poster that excites me.

Like many, I couldn't give an ape's (HA!) about the third headliner. I was never lilkely to be any where near the Pyramid for much over the weekend, let alone the headliners.

Sorry, HMV, I won't be in your NFR Foos Team - I'll be dancing like a loon at Hot Chip, if the line-up is as we think it will be. Kanye, Shmanye. Nuh-uh! Hoping that the Super Furries, or Spiritualized or similar, might top off my Saturday evening.

Whatever, it's going to be incredible. And this newbie is just as excited at the sheer breadth of late night dancing opportunities that GF will offer me, compared to other festivals I've done. OMG, can't wait!!

What Lucy G said last night about Regatta is spot on

http://www.regattaoutlet.co.uk/

They also have an outlet on Ebay and sometimes it is even cheaper on there than their own web page.

Thanks Matt! My new jacket has a "grope pocket". It's a pocket over the boob so you can pop your hand in and have a grope! haha!!!

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
