and had to turn round or make a purchase...

I forgot my rain coat got half way to friends house, realised had to turn around.... t

Then on A303 we realised we forgot the bungee ropes for the trolleys! Stoped at Street and lucky found "Proper Job" shop which sold everything and anything!

Was two close disasters!

A new trolley with loose bolts on the wheel hub collapsed half way in the Q Wed morn. Went back to car to get a spanner, opened closed the boot, went to open the boot again and no key. Anyway long story short, I've taken a spare every time I've attended & never lost the original, guess what I forgot this time! No end of stress that night/Day.

Not quite forgot, rather left to last minute. Went to Winchester to buy some waterproof reproofer stuff for my coat to find that both Blacks and Millets had closed down. With 4 hours left and loads of other stuff to do, I had to buy a brand new coat.

A friend walked out his front door when closed behind him. Luckily he'd gone out with his rucksack but his jacket, keys, money and all his odds and sods for the festival were inside. He had to wake a neighbour at 5 in the morning to use his phone and borrow the bus fare to get to the station.

My mate Alex forgot his tent - luckily we'd made the last moment decision to take the big tent just in case the weather turned shit - it paid off bigtime when he needed somewhere to sleep too!

He then forgot his ticket on the way back out to get the rest of our stuff, then i forgot my car keys... when the re-entry queue was at it's peak doh!

I left my carrier bag with all my bungee ropes & duct tape for my trolley at home

by some stroke of luck on the way to the toilet in the morning I found a roll of cling film on the ground in the car park so managed to attach a decent amount by slipping bag handles over the trolled handles, used cling film to attach a crate of cider & attached my camping mat to my bag

Generally I remembered everything I needed which hardly ever happens. One thing though...

I took two caravans this year. One I lent a friend who was working at Shangri La so taken up a week or so early and my own. Another friend phoned just before to tell me he'd bought a Landrover on ebay that was just down the road from the festival and needed picking up on the way. As I was taking the second caravan up for me I thought great and made a deal where I'd give him a lift to collect his new purchase and then drive him in with me backstage at the park if he'd tow one of my caravans home after the festival. All went smoothly and it was only on the Monday as we were towing a caravan back to where we'd parked his new Landrover that I had a sudden very clear flashback to following him when he picked it up and the distinct lack of tow hook I'd not really noticed at the time. After I'd finished cursing to myself I abandoned the poor sod with a bicycle in Glastonbury town to go look for a tow ball while I headed to the site again to see if I could find one. Miraculously 5 mins later my friend phoned saying he'd found one in a shop for a tenner. I doubled back and we fitted it with difficulty because I didn't have a spanner big enough. Worked out in the end though and saved me another trip back up and down to Devon.

We got to the gate on Wednesday only for us to realise the tickets were in the glove box!

and then after packing the pop up tent, realised my car keys were still inside so tried to reach in to grab them which resulted in the tent popping open and hitting me in the face...

    • Geese playing for 1:20 instead of just an hour was a lovely surprise. The energy was great!
    • Oh well that's why then, I assumed it was still the same. Thanks!
