She's been around for ten years or thereabouts so not 'new' but certainly 'hot-tipped' in my opinion is Piney Gir, in the Bimble Inn on Saturday, quirky indie pop-rock. And so much better than that makes it sound.

For something more 'happening', Bipolar Sunshine is worth a watch on The Park stage on Friday. Sort of poppy, sort of soully, sort of trip-hoppy at times. Very interesting.

Fat White Family are one of those bands that make a lot more sense after seeing them live, they sound rather tame on record, but live it's quite a lot more 'out there' sort sounds like The Fall, Cravats & Cardiacs sort of ting.

Just listened to them and they sound to me like your average indie band nothing bad but definately nothing special, plus most of their songs are really really short

I've been enjoying listening to crystal fighters and clean bandit, neither of which I was aware off before the line up was announced. Not sure how unknown they are, I think I'm losing touch with new music in my old age.

Crystal Fighters played Brixton Academy last year, not exactly unknown. They are very good live though, I'll be trying to catch them if I can.
