It seems a shame if there really aren't any alleyways to explore this year. In 09,10, and 11 it was so much fun wandering around the winding corridors not knowing what to expect around the next corner.

I'll reserve judgement until the festival though.

Had you seen the alleyways last year before the festival actually opened you would have seen what they were supposed to have been like.

They were all covered in a kind of sparkly gold wallpaper type stuff.Looked amazing..............then the H&S inspector found out that the foil wasn't fire retardant and so it all had to be torn off before the official opening!

So it looks like its a kind of "Corporate Hell" theme on the new glasto website. With the alleyways more prominent again exploring beurocracy and the "ways we create heavens and hells for ourselves"

Sounds odd, but interesting!

^ Actually not the huge one. The huge one is apparently still stuck in a council yard on the Isle Of Dogs because of the Pleasure Gardens thing (spot on, London Tom...just phoned a friend who is BLC crew for clarification) and BLC are doing the Fusion Festival when Pilton is on.

    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
