Cammers
I have never been to a festival where I've been able to spend the entire day in the arena watching bands but with this line up I think I could. It just saddens me that every time I come on here I see links to articles about people getting an erection over a birds nest. In the mean time, I'm gonna go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint and wait for this all to blow over.

i-wanna-be-adored
Is there a specific date set for when we will officially know if T is going ahead or not? The later they leave it the larger the whole burned in my wallet for train tickets gets. I (and many others I'm sure!) could really do with a definitive answer asap... The council will make their decision towards the end of may. I think somewhere around the 20th Edited April 22, 2015 by wanderlust14

RSPB said it can go ahead if they meet strict guidelines. Fireworks and lighting are being restricted, and they're enforcing no-go zones around the estate. hamishrankin
Sorry to kind of take the subject off T but i have a question which i am pretty sure you guys are the best people to ask. Basically recently i've not been doing well with securing tickets for gigs in high demand (biffy barras and Muse barras) and i'm wondering if people have some idea for the Drones tour? So Drones is out on June 8th and they've announced that they're playing at Download and the big weekend this summer. Most likely the Drones tour will be over winter 2015/spring 2016, this kind of makes it a non stadium tour due to the time of year, meaning they will probably play the hydro which will be yet another ticket race which i'm fed up with now as i never seem to be the lucky one that gets tickets. Glasgow's summer sessions has announced 2 headliners now last year they only two but the year before they had 3, any chance Muse could play that? kingcrawler
I think they'd already have been announced if they were playing the summer sessions.
Paddy4
Read on the TITP FB page that RSPB restrictions mean 1/3rd of the main arena is wiped out and 500M buffer placed on Slam Tent means it can't be in the main arena. What were DF thinking when they chose this site, it's been farce from start to finish. Don't think there's a plan B, it would have been announced by now. REFUND!! KrisKyle
RSPB won't oppose it if... A 500m buffer zone until mid-June, when the birds are “likely to lay eggs, incubate them and raise chicks”. A permanent buffer zone of 200m where no T staff or revellers are allowed to go after mid-June. No lights or fireworks shining directly at the nest. The dance music tent, big wheel and funfair should be at least 500m away from the osprey nest. A bird expert on site who can stop any activities that may cause disturbance to the ospreys. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/park-bird-conservationists-offer-drop-5579333
