The way the majority of posters on here slate the pyramid stage and pretty much most who have headlined in recent years or been rumoured to headline e.g Kasabian, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Mumford and Sons, Beyonce etc..

Yet everyone is dying to know the third headliner for the pyramid?

If you chin strokers aren't bothered about the Pyramid or the majority of bands who play high up on there, why are you so arsed about finding out who plays?

Winds me up no end. It's so predictable this forum as to who is to what is seen as a good booking and what isn't. Pretty much anyone who has been popular over the last decade is slated for their music.

Why is it peculiar?

Going into every thread and seeing "Please not be them" "NOOO" when a popular band is rumoured is certainly something to be wound up about I think.

Look at the Coldplay thread for instance. I'm not a massive fan but they where absolutely brilliant in 2011 yet every post is a negative post about the band.

Same goes for Kasabian etc.

It's obvious that most of the headliners are mainstream acts at Glastonbury now though. So I don't see the point in moaning about it all the time.

Just ruins most of the threads the chinstrokers who think they listen to better music than everyone else.

it's got nothing to do with them being mainstream. is got everything to do with some of them being shit. like Kasabian. they're shit, whilst Arcade Fire are good, hence Kasabian's thread is full of moaning and Arcade Fire's is full of positivity

this is a discussion forum. to think that it's gonna be full of people praising every act that's mentioned is just stupid. if you want that, go over to Kasabian / Coldplay's official forums

I'm not even big fans of them you tool. Surely there is more to be discussed than the slating of

every rumoured act though. Think about all the

rumours and bands who have headlined the Pyramid in the recent years.

Nearly every act has been slated beforehand on

here.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
