ramragon
We weren't expecting one today, the announcement said it would be riot jazz, chai wallahs and a few calling out acts

gorfield
I think its game over for me. Hopefully someone will want to buy my tickets when it sells out - Think I am going to go to Y not instead. There just really isnt enough of what I like at this festival - They dont even have British Sea power which I thought was a given I thinik I am stuck in the 00's! ha ha I know people say its not all about the music.. but if I am paying over 100 quid to go to a festival it actually is about the music for me. If i want to get drunk and camp with my mates I will go camping. Starting to wish I had got a glasto ticket now!
Marc Whiffen
Jimi Goodwin and Simon and Oscar playing the same time as the headliners on the Friday and Saturday has saved me from my Mrs selling the tickets. She can not wait to go now

ramragon
You should have no trouble selling the emperors tickets, there's people crying for em all the time on their Facebook page.
Marc Whiffen
Been watching Simon and Oscar videos and grining at the thought of seeing them at night in a woodlands setting. Edited March 28, 2014 by Marc Whiffen

ramragon
Seen them twice before and they are BRILLIANT live. A nice mix of OCS singles and some of the lesser known tracks. The woodland will indeed be very special. Though I want to see Suede so hopefully there will be a bit of a discrepancy in the start/end times!! RossendaleR
There's a fair amount of low tempo, downbeat acts this year, so they need someone catchy that's going to have everybody bouncing up and down. Elbow won't do that - they're the sort of music you listen to at home on your own.
Lowther Calling
The Woodland stage is similar to calling out where the times are pretty stringent because both stages have alternate uses after they close. The woodland becomes the silent disco and the calling put becomes the cinema
LOCHLAND5
There used to be an assualt course called the tarzan trail running through the woodland section... Interesting that...
Lowther Calling
Was it not a bit further down ? I remember when that piece of woodland was the wild boar enclosure .

bottonrob
Noting like Primal Scream they're stating the Sunday Night Headliner is a 'Special Guest'. Does this suggest its someone a bit unexpected?
Pooly JP
On twitter someone has said its Biggie Smalls, i am pretty sure that it was a joke but maybe the special guest is a hologram haha.

Comfy Bean
Chic and " special guest " Jimmy Cliff was one of my many guesses after the headliners were announced the other week. Would rather that than something like Tinie Tempah / Lily Allen. #oldfart
Flaminglippy
A headliner couldn't be a 'special guest' could they?? Maybe its Elbow and Chic subbing as Chic seem to get the tag 'very special guest' every festival they do Edited March 31, 2014 by Flaminglippy
rjam77
With Chic & Nile headlining Bestival and their success in the last year I would imagine they are "too big" to headline Kendal currently, sadly... Hope I'm wrong though!
