I'm not bothered about Metallica..I can't see what all the fuss is about! I don't like them but that just means I'll be somewhere else..I don't mind them headlining, but I do mind big game hunting , and exposing him is a good thing in my eyes..

Agreed. Brian Ferry is playing and also has no issues with hunting.

If people want jump on the moral high horse, theres issues closer to home to start with. The Royal family have been hunting on a big scale since the dawn of time. And they're still doing it.

It's not like you're going to stop hunting , but I do think there is a changing tide of awareness, and it's important to keep it going. Pro hunters on here..surprising, but there's a lot of bickering on here this year!

Isn't the hunting of things like Deer in North America pretty much necessary during certain months due to overpopulation?

there's websites where fat americans can sit at their laptop and remote control a gun in south africa and kill giraffes/elephants/lions etc from the comfort of their reinforced armchairs. It's a sick world.

There is a difference though between organised culling ( not hat I agree with that necessarily, but in not in the USA to make an informed decision) and blood sport where real "men" take their kids out to kill beautiful creatures for fun and to feel more macho. People like the royal family who pay to go big game hunting enclosed animals in Africa. Killing for pleasure should really be an attitude we evolve away from..

I do agree completely with this, animals being bred in captivity purely to be hunted is disgusting and wrong. Sadly, it's a primitive attitude most are yet to evolve from.

The point I was trying to make (albeit badly) was that this may well just be a stick to beat Metallica with? There haven't been any campaigns to remove Ferry, do the people who started the site think seeing off a bear is despicable but fox hunting is ok? I doubt it, maybe they know of Michael's thoughts on the matter?

All I'm saying is that I didn't see an anti Prince Charles protest when he visited the farm. Hasn't his old man personally killed over 100,000 animals in his lifetime or something? Big cats, bears, deer, wild boar, game. Just for fun like. The amount of birds he has killed is absolutely staggering. Tens of thousands!

And I'm not even including Diana in that number.

His sons went hunting this year the day before appearing at an anti hunt fundraiser.

Why aren't people outside the palace protesting at that?

For me it's just that Metallica are topical, so you're speaking to more people..if I started a Bryan Ferry hunting thread, I don't think many people would look at it!
