What's the likelihood of her playing?

Her album last year didn't storm the charts but was highly acclaimed. I'd love her to play in a later set, The Park or John Peel possibly?

She pulled out last time but I think she would make a LOVELY addition to the line up.

I think she would be perfect as a John Peel headliner , saw her for the first time at Bestival last year and as I'm a massive fan I thought it was brilliant, a lot of her quite scattered approach to music comes across far better live than on record.

Having said all of that it left a lot of my friends who are either casual fans or just know the one track a little bemused,

Horses for courses I suppose.

I absolutely love her. Didn't she pull out last minute last year? I suspect doing that puts you in the festival black book.

No idea why the latest album didn't do well. It's pretty uncompromising and not as good as her best work but it was a real flop by the looks of it.

I think she sabotaged her image quite a lot around /\/\/\Y/\ when she was acting like a 6th form college activist... I think that put a lot of people off of her, I know it did for me I just couldn't take her seriously anymore, but still really enjoy the first the 2 albums. Also her recent albums (MAYA in a particular) just aren't as well written.

I've revisited the last two albums recently and I think they definitely stand up to the first two musically, she was always quite a political person and I don't see any reason why she shouldn't be encouraged to speak out on things that genuinely matter to her - not that I'm suggesting you said she wasn't allowed to speak out of course

Is it a case of her record company wanting to drop her? I didn't even realize she had another album out! One of those odd quiet releases that unless your a massive fan and on their facebook pages /mailing list you hear nothing about it.

Maybe it's just the UK it's gone quiet, she got a number 1 in the US dance charts with it. I shall have to give it a listen tonight!
