My mrs suffers really badly, she packs loads of colpamin, bring peppermint teas for the morning and night then she gets through fine. .

You'll know your triggers anyway so treat it no different than at home.. Avoid the foods that set you off. Dont worry about the loos as there are shed loads and unless your in a busy area or near a changeover in bands theres not really any big queues.

Plus if you start to get pains then alcohols a good healer

Has this forum mellowed in the new year?

It seems advice on managing the irritability of ones bowels at a festival is more welcome here than the suggestion that (for example) Mumford and Sons were a worthy headliner.

Anyway, OP...apply your everyday coping strategy to the five days you are at Glastonbury. You'll be fine.

I haven't drunk day and night since I was a teenager, just thought I'd ask the question , I'm not going to let my Ibs spoil my first festival experience and will be taking all the meds I need to have a smashing good time , as a first timer I'm a little nervous and to those that think I'm spouting boring crap , I'm not trying to impress .

It's the "spouting crap" you'll want to avoid at glasto ;-)

I find going camping for some reason stops everything up for 2-3 days anyway - then you go up to the Flushables to curl the biggest length you've ever seen. Job done.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
