Re: Combi Waiting list

Gutted!!! I just called Tele Ticket, They told me I'm in the middle of the waiting list. I asked her if there were tens or hundreds of people in front of me. She replied 100's! SO now, I'm not holding out much hope at all!

I went on the waiting list on 18 Feb about 4pm, the day they sold out!!

Fri

Klub C: Katy B / The Subs / Parov Stela Band / Trixie Whitley / Sam Smith / George Ezra / ?

Barn: Jack Johnson / Eels / Foster The People / Crystal Fighters / The 1975 / The Naked And Famous

Sat

Main: Pearl Jam / The Black Keys / ? / Triggerfinger / Imagine Dragons / Biffy Clyro / The Temperance Movement

Klub C: ? / Moderat / Trentemoller / SBTRKT / Melanie De Biasio / ? / ?

Barn: Pixies / Haim / Agnes Obel / Midlake / Kodaline / ?

Sun

Main: Chase & Status / Kings of Leon / ? / Franz Ferdinand / Bastille / MGMT / Reignwolf

Klub C: Rudimental / Passenger / Birdy / Metronomy / ? / ? / ?

Barn: Stromae / Interpol / Foals / Babyshambles / Angus & Julia Stone / Parquet Courts

Looking at this there is still to be a few big ish acts left to announce but not actually loads left to announce in a whole. If they keep adding 6 acts the next few weeks we'll have all our acts by mid march. When was the lineup complete last year?

The Sunday I'm not so confident on where to put some acts because I believe all of Interpol, Franz, Bastille, Foals, Babyshambles could all play main or barn. Also hoping White Lies will play the main stage but unfortunately can't see it.

Think these splits could be spot on, although still hoping that some of the acts we know by now are lower than expected.

Last year it was somewhere mid-April, but it'll be mid-March now by the looks of it. I'm guessing 2 batches of 6-7 names on Fridays, and then at least one of the subs confirmed in a separate announcement?

What's the deal with the main stage anyway? From what i've seen last year, only few acts succeeded to really move most of the crowd in the mainstage, and those were only some of the huge acts. I dont remember The crowd go wild on the National, Band of Horses BRMC, Phoenix etc... But in the tent you can feel the show and the crowd so much better even if the act isnt that big, like the Lumineers, Of Monsters And Men, Ben Howard and more, or when bigger acts like Bloc Party were there it just felt amazing.

Still disappointed with the last names. There were 20 slots open, now it's 10 and Friday is almost finished with useless names. If they'd write Ellie Goulding as sub, than it'll be a bigger disappointment.

Coldplay is about to announce European tour, if any festival writes as contender, i can sell my tic.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
