Ooops, I've left it too late to...

- Wear my boots in properly

- Join the Get fit thread

- Watch endless hours of you tube videos to discover whether or not I like any of the bands I've never heard of (which is most of them - I'm so out of touch).

- Make some sort of sunshade thing to sit beneath when it's too hot.

(There'll be plenty to add to this list nearer the time I expect. My to do list it too long already.)

Ooops!!

I'm too late to.....

Mend the tent that got damaged at Bestival last year

Sort out hubby's fancy dress (much to his relief I guess!)

Get a decent amount of physio sessions in on my poorly feet

Decide which new bands I want to see!!

Ah well always next year!!

I think this will be my biggest mistake but I dont own any walking shoes, just 2 pairs of trainers that I dont want to take. That leaves me with a choice.

I either

Buy some walking shoes/boots on Tuesday, wear them all day and chance the fact I could get some pretty bad blisters.

or

Take my boots from work, but they are big heavy boots that I dont think I could handle wearing for 5 days but atleast I shouldnt get blisters.

I'm cutting it fine again as usual as i need to get the inside of the camper van fitted back in,otherwise we will be tenting it, i have about 32 hours free between now and Tuesday morning to get it back up to livable standard.

I bought a pair of brasher walking boots July last year to make sure they were well broken in, 3 weeks ago when walking the dog something snapped in the sole so everytime I took a step it sounded like I was wearing a flip flop...

The shop changed them for a pair that cost £15 more but now I have a fairly new pair of boots to wear, been wearing them more or less constantly since.

Also in the failed to lose a stone/get fit gang....

Also, have faffed over walking boots for months - why are they so ugly? - and now have a choice of trying to break in some brasher shoes or scrape the mud off some boots which let me down in 2005 or wing it with trainers....

Also now have a part fitted campervan as we decided now would be right time to remove the seats and get new upholstery - cutting it fine....

I think I've left it too late to break in my new walking boots. They are Brashers and I wore them wice but they did cause blisters. Have been looking at info online and am tempted to put them on in the bath and then walk them dry. Has anyone ever done this and did it work?

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
