Amazing achievement, he has taken a sqaud which I feel was amongst the weakest in premiership history to being on the verge of a top half finish. I couldnt seperate his and Rodgers achievements in terms of manager of the season.

I'm hugely impressed by Rodgers, but for me Pulis has it.

No one thought he had a chance, but to be at 40 points with 4 games still to go (and when 34 points will probably save you) is astounding considering what he took over.

I've not really seen anything of them aside from Pulis' first few games, so it'll be interesting to see how they get on against Liverpool (cos I'm guessing I'll see that match). I'm not counting on a Liverpool win, that's for sure.

yup - not playing in Europe is both an advantage and a disadvantage.

To pretend that the easy way to win the league is from 7th is a joke, as proven by all the other teams that have failed to do so in the Chumps era.

They put the offer in that they thought would trrigger a release clause, just as liverpool did with that bloke whoss name I wont even try to attempt.

I think Liverpool came out and admitted the wording was fine they just choose to ignore the contract because they felt contract law means very little in the UK.

Also on palace I was wondering why Tom Ince couldn't get a game and found out last night. Best team I've seen at goodison this year. Defended in numbers with very strong players and then broke down the wings with real pace. They can have a say in the title race this year.. Fear for Everton now as Moyes will be desperate not to lose both games against his old team.

yep, but they've also got one of the best goalscorers in the league to come back into the team.

As I said, I'm not suggesting anything except that they've got a decent chance of staying right up near the top until mid-December. What happens after that who knows.

Bringing Suarez back won't add any goals I don't think, it'll just change how they score and the personnel involved.

Well at the time I was very annoyed at Arsenals cheek. Bale was talked about as a £80-85 million transfer to Real and Arsenal thought Suarez was half the player. Fuck that! Before this season he was worth as much as Bale IMO and now worth a lot more (but I do view him through red tinted shades it has to be said)

To his credit he doesnt couch opinion with "maybes" - just says it. Sure he'd be the first to say he's been surprised by LFC this year. Who hasnt.

By the goal-scoring? I've not been, particularly - tho not at the amount it's happened.

How Liverpool finished last season gave a good indication of how they'd do this time around, so I was surprised to see so many of you write them off entirely (no chance of 4th from most). And I remembered that TGT post precisely because I thought it would turn out to be very wrong.

I'm not having a go at him, I'm just laughing at how wrong those words were.

We're all capable of being that wrong, me more than most.

The fact that they did not come in with another higher bid later, once they were told to go fuck themselves shows me they did not think he was worth more than their "cheeky" bid.

yeah, but we all know from the past that Wenger is a tight-arse. "Can't see value in the market", and all that.

When the prices can rise quite spectacularly in one season it must be bloody hard being the guy who has to weigh it all up, when there's always another option somewhere else.
