mad!!

Intel have paid £15m to have their logo placed on the inside of Barcelona's shirt. The logo will only be seen if the players lift their shirt during celebrations.

Ouch!

While RvP maybe hasn't been at his best, he's about the only other player who's been showing a bit of class on the pitch as well as Rooney ... and so on that basis, he's a big loss.

Anyway ... City/Arsenal and Spurs/Liverpool... which way are they gonna go?

Home wiin for the first and a draw for the 2nd are my hunches (so if you wanna make a few quid, bet on something different ).

Will be interesting in years to come if the Glazer regime does go sour, how much heat Fergie will get from turfing the Irishmen out of the club and sending it straight to the grasp of the Glazers.

Oooo, i'd not thought of that. That could cause a big future revision of how fergie's time is viewed if it happened.

Man City away is one of the toughest games in world football, Arsenal playing on a Wednesday wont help. Its a home win for me.

I have a funny feeling that Liverpool will win at spurs, but cant explain any logic why they should!

Likewise, I have a funny feeling that because Arsenal lost and City won midweek, when the reverse was more expected of both of them, that perhaps the expected result at the weekend will be reversed too.

But as you've said, City is a toughie ... which is why I ultimately plumped for a home win.

I don't think Munich would want him, suspect age and injury record could put them off, plus it looks like Levandowski is their top target. Man U may not miss him if it gets more out of Rooney, but one of Welbeck or Hernandez needs to stand up and be counted.

    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
    • Potentially rogue shout here but could see Rebecca Black in the running for a mid-afternoon spot. I know most people still remember her for Friday but lately she’s been putting out a lot of fun pop bangers, think this could be a very fun booking!
    • FFS why when there are pull outs does it always include so many of the names I had as must sees!
    • This is a pretty petulant stance.   I oppose him headlining because I love coming to Slam Dunk and he would be a very big reason why I wouldn't come. That doesn't mean they can't choose to do so, they obviously can, I would just stop coming to that version of Slam Dunk.   Another name that I'll throw out there as name I'd love is Biffy Clyro.
    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
