The biggest match is City v Everton. It'll be interesting to see who comes out on top in that one.

My experience unfortunately is that the majoirty of fans are happy when the teams winning and angry when losing. Most (shortsighted I know) couldnt care less where the clubs money is coming from, as long as they are picking up 3 points most week.

I think the important thing to note is just because the owner is taking money out, doesnt mean they arent putting money in, although often thats in terms of loans. Therefore since becoming fan owned our losses have turned into a small profit, but the wage bill has gone down. Reduced wage bills means smallers squads and worse players and the fans are more miserable than they have ever been. Its possible my experience may be atypical, but I suspect not.

Barcelona.

You could also argue Bayern Munich, although that's not complete fan ownership (I think 60%?, higher than the German requirement of 50% + 1 though)

Exeter are the highest. Wycombe and Portsmouth also in the same league. Can see the amount increasing significantly at that level with teams in such financial trouble.

Is it workable in the premier league? Players wages for example. I won't mention barca and Madrid as that's a different story with tv deals, if it's workable with 51% fan owned in Germany I can't see why it wouldn't work for prem sides.

Fan owned would work in the EPL if they inherited the clubs debt free and the next few seasons TV/Season tickets not already spent by loaning the future money from a company....but that's a massive IF at the moment. (And obviously wouldn't be able to spend on massive transfers unless they sold someone from the yoof setup).

I think that's the big problem. Clubs spend money that is incoming, rather than that they have, leaving any new owner getting a ton of debt with the purchase, which they then pay off and convert to debt to themselves, setting whatever interest suits them so they can take money out as they will.

Fuck I hate the football finance system.

I don't think it's the make or break of Everton if we lose at Manchester City, they Breezed past Newcastle, Wigan and United, but i felt Hull were very unlucky against City and Bayern completely dominated.

However, it'd be Naive to call City weak, as they absolutely aren't, and i'd snap your hand off for a point, but were playing well and with Lukaku in the form he's in, we could easily sneak it.

It'll be interesting never the less, but i'll take a point.

It's funny when palace went up in the play offs, I was happy as it meant holloway in the epl and stopped watford who had loaned half a squad. Now watching them I wish watford had gone up as palace look massively out of their depth. Nothing against them but they are full of championship players, so couldn't really expect more.

Or alternatively, it'll be talked about as the year the manager refused to play the best player in the world, Kagawa - cos every time Moyes doesn't play him, a mass of Utd fans say that's why they're losing. It's nothing to do with very average performances right round the pitch.
