The very best way to help your survival capacity is to train for glasto (gym, jog, cycle, treadmill, whatever). It's not quite too late to make a difference now - you'll be very glad you did.

Do you guys take water with you or do you get it onsite?

I've never really even touched water at a festival, not good

Easy -

Get plenty of good quality sleep - don't just pass out

Eat three good meals a day - plenty of fibre, avoid the saturated fat

Drink at least 2l of water a day, supplement with juice if possible

Avoid alcohol and all nervous system depressants

Resist the urge to have casual sex with strangers - it can turn out very badly

in the real world it can take me days to recover from a good night (i'm getting on a bit) so i take it slow and steady. it took me a few years to cotton on but the best way to keep on going is to keep on going. as in have a bloody mary for breakfast along with the berocca and dioralyte.

Forget pacing, it only comes around once a year. This isn't a standard all-day Saturday session with your mates, this is Glastonbury.

Get absolutely ruined, worry about it for a couple of hours the next morning, have two disgusting

beers until it evens out, repeat!

I always get hammered on the Thursday night and miss the opening acts on the Friday due to hangover... I'm quite private with my vomiting and since I dont really want to stick my head down the loo I actually find a hangover a bit stressful at glastonbury!

Don't stop otherwise you will drop.

I start from when we park the car till we are out the site I doubt I go more than 5 hours without a drink, including sleep time. Once you wake up a shot of southern comfort, then up and about for breakfast. The first few hours are a struggle but once the music starts you get your energy back. You can't let a hangover get full grip otherwise you will struggle for the rest of the day. I also find if your drinking all day you never get smashed, just a nice drunk feeling all day.

Be prepared for the hangover from hell on Tuesday though.

Anybody else get the jitters on the way home? I always fall asleep and then wake up about every 10 minutes!

    • Feel Stevie Wonder should be in the conversation as a random Michael Eavis headliner ala Neil Young last year.... If we did get a M.E pick for one of the headliner slots, who else would be in the mix do we think? Cher? Rolling Stones? Nicks/Fleetwood?
    • That interview was long enough ago for Madonna to have been offered a 3rd BST to say no to Glastonbury and Olivia Dean to have been asked.

    • Funny if after this they've managed to get Oasis and nobody has a clue.   Also, dunno if it's just me but I can't see any betting odds anymore, William Hill or otherwise. Doesn't take much for that market to change, or come down, as the little Fontaines flurry showed 😅
