Cos I have a wife and kids and my job means I work away a lot, so my festival weekends are limited to one per year only nowadays!

Ahh right, your V Fest experience has gone bye bye now. I thought you meant the festival was going bye bye because of Black Keys

No, simply I shall be attending Latitude over V because of the Black Keys!

Got my ticket... that was a LOT easier than trying to get tickets like this before. I'm used to being in queues for ages but literally got straight through! I guess the line up isn't so desirable this year. Still, gonna be great :)

Which site Is it easier to get to and hotel by and where?

Depends where you live haha.

Let me know if it's Weston park I know a few cheap hotels/b&b around the Weston park area.

Mate owns a pub with b&b 5 minutes away from Weston park, so that could be useful for you and the gf.

Who was due to play main stage before The Saturdays were put there?

I think I am right where V is aiming their line up, and I agree that some people want their older acts to be higher up but V goes with more pop and dance higher up, which I dont mind

No one was

No one was

I find it hard to believe V would fill all of one day's main stage, and both days on the years previous but leave one spot for the saturdays to have after Little Mix dropped out.

Poth have you got tickets, or are you going to miss this year out?

Well it was that lol, no one dropped out before the Saturdays were announced for main stage.

I haven't yet as I cannot afford them ATM, but will get them later

Little Mix disappeared on the same announcement as Saturdays arrived on as far as I can remember

Now that changes it completely for me. Assuming that's the same time as timberlake that basically means my favourite band on the lineup get to play in the dark and get a full set, hopefully meaning at least a couple of old tunes.

Me and the wife have bought tickets on that assumption. Gives us a headline act we want to see each night, chuck manics below elbow as well and that will be a cracking end to the festival for me

    • No worries, it's a perfectly fair question to ask. I would expect people to be talking at the back & near the bars & that is where I would want them to be talking. If your group are enjoying yourselves & the music & briefly chatting to say how much you are loving a certain song etc, you would be an ideal group to stand behind.   My issue is with people having full blown conversations (usually unrelated what is on the stage) whilst being surrounded by people who are trying to listen to the music. This was happening in the middle and towards the front of all stages, & so you have limited options to move around & you may have spent 20 minutes waiting for the band trying to get the closest position that you can. If there's a group of 8 people, there may be 2 or 3 that like the band & the rest will start talking if the music isn't their thing. This may be the norm now for festivals, and if it is, that's ok & I will focus on a band's own gigs & UK based new music festivals.    I'm also not including consequences of my own decision making. I saw Geese on Wednesday so went to Occident after Men I Trust finished so it was understandable there would be chatting that far back. Similarly, getting to The XX after Olivia Rodrigo along with most of the site, I knew my chance of a good spot & a chat-free zone had gone so that was completely reasonable.   PS. I went to Bilbao BBK in 2023 & 2025 & enjoyed it. For Pulp & Kylie in 2025, I got a position early & was surrounded by a respectful & fun crowd for both. The UK non-headlining bands tend to go on the undercover 3rd stage, & most people like to congregate outside so you can usually get close to the front of that stage.
    • Interview on 6 music earlier, was going to get the album to have a listen, but comes out the day they play the festival
    • Additional dates added already
    • I feel like it's not COMPLETELY beyond the realm of possibility that they could headline but I just don't see it.    They're not doing anything other than headlining. So nah, I don't see it.
    • Consider that the sound quality can be better near the front bars right behind the soundbooth rather than closer to the stage, like with mbv. And of course, the front sections are full of talkers too.   The most courteous move would be to have conversations in the very back of the field.
