Does anyone know of any Glasto ticket competitions and whether there will be any on here?!

My friends didn't get tickets today

I have seen Orange do some in the past but not sure if there will be any this year? I havent seen anything yet. Its a slim chance and I always wonder if anyone actually wins!

Are there still any jobs available at Glastonbury so they could get a workers ticket? At least that way they would be in and would just have to work a few shifts somehwere??

The Western Daily Press (regional morning paper based in Bristol) have run competitions before. More a case of saving tokens and then you can buy (not win) a ticket.

Keep looking on Twitter and googling Glastonbury competition 2013 - something like that. there are bound to be comps. In the past I've won tickets to Isle of Wight festivals, VIP tickets to Leeds festivals and Green Man tickets so people do win festival ticket competitions!! Good luck - would be even better to go for free!

I didn't get tickets to Glastonbury 2005 and was gutted as it was the first year I didn't have school exams and could actually go. I decided that if I entered every competition I saw for tickets I'd surely win in the end. And sure enough on the Tuesday before the Glastonbury weekend I got a phone call from a lovely lady at NME asking what I was doing that weekend and did I want to go to the festival?!! Best day ever!

Had a brilliant time and been back every festival year since.

So it's definitely worth trying the competitions if you didn't get lucky in the resale...!

I entered all the possible competitions I could find in 2011 after failing in the October, April and May resales.

Eventually won a pair of tickets through Gaymers. Just try everything, persistence is key!

you'd be amazed how few people often enter competitions - presumably because they think they don't have a chance of winning. Because the number of entries is sometimes far smaller than you'd expect, the chances of winning is far greater than you might be thinking.

They'll be a competition for a pair of Glastonbury tickets on efestivals sometime soon-ish (Glastonbury have agreed to give us the tickets; unfortunately they also require the way we standardly run our comps to be changed, hence the delay).

The shoe company Schuh had a competition in 2011. They don't appear to be running a Glasto comp at the moment, but possibly worth looking at closer to the time.
