Think they will announce roughly the same amount they did last time tbh, purely to try and save as many for a March announcement like they normally do. Hope there is more though!

I'm going for...

Biffy Clyro (Headliner)

Bring Me The Horizon (NME Sub)

Miles Kane

A$AP Rocky

Palma Violets

Pure Love

I really think reading have their shit together this year.

They really know what they are doing, and it's all been pretty easy for them. Maybe because last year was a success!

Anyway, biffy are headlining, I don't think they've quite sorted their third headliner yet!

I don't geddit, why do people not think that Biffy should be given a shot at headlining/don't deserve it.

They're about to embark on their 2nd arena tour (more or less sold out), have been subbing major festivals (iow/download) and even headlined soni (smaller but still). also they have an album that just hit #1.

Does everyone expect headliners who have previously headlined or play gigs in stadiums? its ridiculous to say the least and bands should be given a chance to prove themselves at the top instead of recycling the same old bands every 3-4 years. for example MCR were given a shot at it, didn't get a huge crowd but their performance was top notch. same could be said for Arcade Fire - not the hugest crowd but had a great gig.

opinions please.

it'll swing one way or another, if they play a good set then they'll have deserved it, if they don't then they probably won't headline again. Very much in their hands how it goes down. I for one would like to see a slightly bigger band headlining, but whatever. can't be too picky :)

so which bands are "slightly bigger" than biffy at this current moment in time.

disregarding those not touring and those who are playing elsewhere you have slim pickings. they are one of the biggest british bands around at the moment that potentially fit into the "R&L category".

besides its probably who was available when they were booking headliners, who they could potentially push up to headliners... blah blah blah

besides last time they played at reading (not sure about leeds) in 2010 their crowd was huge.

besides no one knows who the 3rd headliner is, that act could be huge for all we know. plus eminem technically is huge so i don't really see a problem. can't please everyone though can they
