Biffy getting 2 hours, and eminem + (sabbath) getting an hour and a half isn't too unthinkable. Yes sabbath are classic and should have more, but judging by their download set, they can't play too much longer. Probably need a sit down or something.

If its blur however, then 2 headliners getting 2 hours isn't unthinkable either. And "thewayiam", the point was both the cure and foos played longer sets last year.

Did you not know that gazza only goes off what's happened in the past and works off patterns.

His thinking is, it is normal for only one band to get the two hours. The cure and foos only both played longer because that's what they normally do at their own gigs.

He doesn't factor the possibility of change, he's robotic if you will, AI in fact, can't think ahead or adjust and only goes off the past.

He also doesn't factor in that in the fact that in the past there has been 2 bands on the bill that would normally play over two hours at theirs own shows yet for a long time it would only be one band getting the slot. Or that they totally broke their own two hour rule twice last year.

It was a status thing historically giving only one headliner two hours. Opening it up this way allows for the chance to book more than one huge act per year and also opens up bands like AC/DC and others who like to play for hours and previously wouldnt have even entertained a 1:30-2hr set. It also saves the promoter cash by not having to book as many bands.

There would be no reason for Simon to make that comment if they are playing just 90 mins... plus with there only being 9 bands each day on main, for the last couple years, it's pretty easy to find the time for multiple headliners to have longer sets... and if they don't take the longer set then the bands lower down the bill can have the time.

in fairness, I don't think Eminem or wether it'd be Sabbath/LP would get longer than 1hr 30 mins so Biffy doing 2 hours might happen.

Hi saying it'll be one of the longer, is that implying their longer or that there will be more than 1 band doing a longer than normal headline set and they'll be one of them?
