Any of you Waters fanboys take issue with the amount of miming he does on current tour? I'd estimate it at around 30/35% of the show.

As regards my own opinion, it was a technical marvel. Waters himself has an engaging and warm stage persona and his back up band (incl Snowy Shite) were proficient.

But the show itself was a impersonal, humourless, souless, warn-out husk. Anti-capitalist/government messages also diluted somewhat by Waters' obsence level of personal wealth.

really? I dont think he does at all! I dont think I'd like him if he did take it all seriously. It's all just theatre isnt it?

his early stuff was "dangerous", as were the early live shows though (not that I went to any sadly)

fair enough mate, let's just put it down to hair envy and be done with.

I'm suprised though, i thought you'd at least like the band. wonderful musicians and tighter than a gnats chuff

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
