You could argue that the only star the Rumble ever made was Yokozuna.

Let's look at this, who wasn't already a star, or who didn't become a star

Jim Duggan

Big John Studd

Hogan

Hogan

Flair

Yokozuna

Bret Hart/Lex Luger (it did nothing for Luger!)

Shawn

Shawn

Austin

Austin

Vince (!)

Rock

Austin

Hunter

Brock

Benoit

Big Dave

Rey Rey

Undertaker

Cena

Orton

Edge

Del Rio

Sheamus

Cena

Look at that list and you can say the Rumble helped with Flair (to a new audience remember), Yokozuna, Shawn to an extent, and maybe Benoit and Big Dave. Everyone else was already established, or it actually didn't do anything for.

Aye, looks like Del Rio has been helped a lot. Del Rio was actually in a better position before the Rumble than he was after it! They DID have a chance in that rumble to use Santino higher up the card though. Not make a star, but a bit of a cash cow at least.

Hardly disrespect for Punk...

Its more that when those chants start up, Vince or whoever is probably trying to get them to talk over the chants as much as possible to stop the viewers at home hearing them, and they must find it a real pain in the ass.

It says Cole and Lawler disrespect for Punk, Cole doesn't even say anything! Other than the attendence, Lawler says oh man, and JBL says kinda like just ride it through they don't last for long in a mocking way.

End of the day you got it from JR and you seem to be getting it from these guys, Punk has lost A LOT of respect due to the fact he hasn't fulfilled his contract or his remaining dates, they're old school and feel like you go to work. I'd be the same, my feeling about it is Punk is a little bitch, think about people who are travelling from around the world to go Mania and Punk has decided to do a big fuck you to those people because he isn't in a title shot.

I don't know why the fans are chanting his name, Punk is the one who has fucked them over by saying I ain't going to work, he's the reason they aren't seeing him wrestle or cut a promo, yet they still chant for him?

Fuck that.

If you like high flying wrestling, watch this. It's an eight man tourney called King of Flight, and it contains...

Ricochet

A.R.Fox

Nick Jackson

Matt Jackson

Samuray Del Sol

Rich Swann

Paul London

The Amazing Red

It's sooooooo much fun.

I saw Samuray Del Sol last year at FCP, he's a talent, haven't WWE signed him now?

Is he actually called 'Willow the Wisp'?!?!wtf?Video looks kinda creepy but if that name is true...wtf?Worst idea ever!

I just don't understand where that is coming from.

So,are they going to ignore the fact that he is Jeff Hardy or what?

It's just a crazy decision to go down that route.

Just a Wrestlemania XXX card I've been thinking up. Running from show start to finish. Pre-show could have some sort of 30 Years of WM gimmick Battle Royal.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio

(Hair vs. Mask)

Winner: Rey Mysterio

Sheamus vs. Kane

**Whichever artist is performing on the evening, followed by some kind of in-ring segment with Ryback getting squashed by Goldberg. Or more than likely the Ultimate Warrior**

AJ Lee © vs. Lita

Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust: Don't want to see it. Means breaking up arguably the best tag team of the last 15 years.

Triple Threat Shield: Don't want to see it. Handicap match with The Shield getting destroyed by Roman Reigns? Much better at doing the intended job.

Other than that, I like the look of it. Could just move the Rhodes' into the tag title match too. I can see Daniel Bryan vs. HHH happening unless CM Punk comes back as HHH WILL wrestle. He's a marquee attraction. That means he wrestles at Mania.

Both Cody and Goldust apparently want it to happen, but Goldust has been tweeting and giving interviews saying it isn't going to be happening (could just be a bluff). But failing that, yeah, you could just stick them in the tag match.

I think The Shield match will happen at Mania, even though I would personally like to see them continue longer.

And I thought about them maybe doing what they did at WM 10 and have Bryan vs. Triple H earlier on in the night, with the stipulation that if Bryan wins, then he gets inserted into the title match, with him coming out on top still later on in the main event. But I think that although Triple H will want to wrestle, he would be just as much an attraction being the special guest ref and potential difference maker in the title match. I don't know. I'm not sure what will happen, but that card is what I would be happy with/inclined to think is what it will pan out like.

Punk returning to screw the authority by jumping the guard rail to lay out Orton/Triple H to help Bryan get the win, only for Punk to turn heel the next night on Raw by taking Bryan out. That'd be pretty cool I think.

Given that WWE seem to be taking the tag division seriously right now, I don't see them taking the best team out of it, so I can't see it being a bluff. Wouldn't be the first time ol' Goldust has done some bluffing though.

The Shield match will happen, but it should be a handicap match. Roman Reigns should just annihilate the both of them with that and give Reigns a big Mania moment.

I don't think they'd have someone in two matches on Mania again. Triple H has to wrestle because he's still a big selling point for WWE, and you use that. So he's wrestling. Which means it's either Punk or Bryan. It'll be Bryan, because I strongly doubt this was a work, so either Punk's gone, or WWE can talk him into coming back. Either way the fued has already been switched to Bryan, so he's getting the match. I'd like to see the three way, but this is why that won't happen. HHH will find a way to screw over Bryan in the cell going into Mania.

Would they have to break the Rhodes' up though? It'd be pretty interesting for them to just want to settle who is the best, brother to brother, without either of them turning heel, and they could go back to tagging after Mania? So it's more of a respect thing than one brother wanting to get one over on the other.

And I'd like to see Rollins & Reigns continuing to team together, with Ambrose being the one to break away from The Shield as the out and out proper heel. Handicap match would be cool though, but I think the Triple Threat is more likely.
