There was a power outage but it was just as they were doing the video package before the main event and they didn't start it until the tv came back.Main event went ahead as scheduled.

And was dreadful. Best two matches were RVP/Del Rio and Rhodes/Shield. Everything else was like a poor episode of Smackdown.

I cant believe WWE have dragged Cena back 3 months early and put him straight into a world title match.

Fucking pathetic.

Whilst TNA has been doing the builld up for BFG pretty poor, the actual matches at the event are looking very solid

World Heavyweight Championship
Bully Ray vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles

"The Icon" Sting vs. Magnus

Ultimate X Match for the X Division Championship
Austin Aries vs. Manik vs. Chris Sabin vs. Jeff Hardy

Tag Team Championship:
James Storm and Gunner vs. Preshow Match Winners (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian vs Joseph Park and Eric Young vs The BroMans vs Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez)

and it looks like Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode too.

Add a Knockouts match and Joe vs. someone and its a solid card. I'd actually like to see Kenny King vs. Joe.

As much as everyone hates him the product is better with Cena around. Since Summerslam has proved that.

I don't think it's because of Cena, the thing is that they had 2 ppv's in one month which with today's roster it doesn't make sense and battleground ended up with a lot of remtaches and mathes without a proper storyline

But the story lines has been great D Bryan vs the Corporation, The Rhodes Family angle and even CM Punk vs Heyman are probably more intresting then any storyline Cena has been involved in recently.

Cool. His interview on Austins podcast show is excellent.

Need to check that out. Been meaning to check out Austins podcast show for a while now.

It's not directly related to Cena but it's kind of ironic that it usually is better with Cena around. I won't be watching again until the Rumble. Not even sure if I will bother with Bound For Glory either.

for what i said, i do agree there shouldn't have been 2 ppvs so close together. it makes them rush into the storylines or chuck it together last minute making the ppvs poor compared to others. however there were some top matches in there that were quality.

just hope they get their act together for hiac and really hope the cena angle doesn't overshadow the wwe championship. oh wait it already has

Anyone staying up for BFG?

Just read Bullys comments on Aces and Eights Angle-

"This has been the hand that was dealt. This is the way it is. I look at this situation like I look at any other situation in this business. You have two choices, you can fold or you can play it to the max. No matter what the situation is, I'm going to play it and I'm going to play it to win. What you see is me, Knux and Garrett. Everybody has been talking about how the Aces and Eights are folding. There is trouble in the Aces and Eights. They are imploding from within. Maybe that's what I want you to think. Maybe on Sunday you're going to see something completely different. I can make you believe what you want to believe. That is one of my gifts. Everybody thinks they know what's going on. Everybody knows how the story is going to end. Everybody thinks they have seen the last of Aces and Eights. I would call the cable company and order Bound For Glory because you just might be shocked at what you see."

    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
