I love NXT. The lenght of the shows/specials is perfect, the wrestling is good, the storylines are simple, the commenators keep on point. The crowd are also great and look like they are just there to have fun, rather htan trying to ruin the show if things dont go the way they want.

The Zayn V Owen match could have been better, but I think in terms of storlyines its not always about having the best possible match that 2 people could. The Neville v balor match was my favourite and am looking forward to Owens v Balor down the line.

While in isolation NXT is great, you cant forget its a developmental promotion. I enjoy watching Itami, Balor, Owens, Zayn and Neville, but there will be a hell of a lot of competition waiting when they make the jump and the potetnial to be lost in the shuffle.

It's sad it really is, these guys aren't going to get the run in WWE they deserve because it's clear Owens and even Zayn aren't the youngest. Instead we are given 'comedy' segments and the New Day. The problem with NXT is you watch it as a developmental show and the stars of NXT don't get the credibility they deserve because a call up to the main show is much more important than the NXT Title. Plus the NXT Title prestige is hurt when you have someone like Bo Dallas holding it for a long time only to find out Bo Dallas is a talentless jobber on the main roster.

I can see Zayn being a great upper midcarder on the main roster with a few IC title runs. Kevin Owens should be a future WWE Champion, he is that good. It will be between him and Balor as to who the biggest success will be out of the current NXT stars. Itami won't cut it, imo. He'll end up back in Japan.

Kofi is every bit as talented as anyone on the nxt roster but wasted. I dont think it is the lower card guys that block their road to success, but the fact there are several young, talented and hungry wrestlers at the level just below main event. It's easy to blame the wwe for wasting talent, but there are only so many ppv slots and people you can push at one time.

I suspect zayn will get a small push and then move down the card. I agree Owens could be a star and the ko gimmick is good. Balors enterance will go down well with the kids and he could be a good mid carder. Itami is talented, but I don't see how he fits the wwe. I wasn't sure about Neville at first, but he could end up being the biggest star of them all.

Sami Zayn is an interesting one. He could end up anywhere from main event to bottom of the card. His insane likeability means that pretty much everyone will get behind him, which in turn might mean a couple of big pushes into the top spot. But at the same time, his entire look is odd and WWE might well decide that it's just not for him.

It would certainly seem Wyatt's promos can only be directed towards one man doesn't it?

Apparently he did a radio interview the other day & when asked about it he said there is clues within his recent promos & people should dig a little deeper.Think he's talking Shit mind but...

    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
    • I think people on a place like this, that clearly value live music more than most, don't. I'd rather an academy than an arena every day. But I could see a few people that care about "the gram" than the actual music wanting an arena experience even if it's a mid sized band.
