potential rumours and spoiler for wm regarding the taker. read if though wishes it.

basically earlier a rumour appeared that the taker was undecided about wm however this has appeared since:

crazy shit :rabbi:

Most probably wwe officals want Cena to end the streak

I'm skeptical if the streak should end or not, the Taker surely deserves to retire with a victory on the other hand if CM punk goes over the taker it will continue to elevate his wwe carrer

and he's looked like a shadow of his former self at the last couple of wm's?

He had a hip replacement a few years back apparently. Diving over the top rope to the floor and landing on your (replaced) hip is probably one of the things doctors specifically tell you not to do when you're a man approaching 50.

Wrestling tradition dictates that you go out on your back, putting someone over on the way out as it were.

However, there's no point ending the streak. Taker can, in theory, work matches for another few years and collect a decent pay day. Now that Punks title reign is over, the steak is one of the few things in wrestling which is 'real'. As long as the streak exists, it can be a central point of the promotion of Wrestlemania. And when there's money to be made in matches against Cena and Lesnar in the next couple of years, it just doesn't add up.

And there's not point using it on Punk, as he's never going to be *the* guy.

Still managed to put on MOTY last year.

He needed HBK to fill in the blanks though. A lot of blanks too. Most of Takers performance last year was him lying on the mat with HHH and HBK arguing between themselves and building the drama/tension.

Same for the year before. One big bump and the rest was HHH hitting him in the back with chairs.

I love Taker obviously, but hes finished.

Fair point. Told a great story that match.

regarding the taker, i reckon they want the streak to continue at least another year or two at least however if he feels he isn't physically in shape to continue another year then they should either end the streak or let him retire streak intact. if it is true though that he wants to put over punk, then it would be another milestone - headlining wm which would make his legacy huge - ending the streak. but then that would tarnish the streak (potentially).

but really who in all honesty will punk go against at wm is the real question as if this hasn't been resolved in the next few weeks then they need to put him in line against someone else as a backup.

anyway just my two cents and we will see what happens.

btw listened to a podcast with cm punk guesting and had an interesting insight to the wwe and how some stuff works :)

you can get it on itunes and possibly download it as well

also one with Jericho

Bret Hart has continued to bad mouth Triple H saying he isn't even in the top 1,000 wrestlers!!!

I'll admit to being a Trip mark I'm saying bullshit! He might not be inventive like Bret says,I agree on that part but he's a fantastic wrestler, tells a great in ring story, great on the Mic & can carry anybody to a fantastic match.

I saw Bret's interview on WrestleTalk the other week, seriously that show is great just a little annoying in places and is filmed pretty much straight after the last one airs so is like 2 weeks behind on whats going on. That and they keep having that 'fan' Justine on the show instead of Francesca Woods who knows what she's talking about.

Saw that Kid Kash has left TNA, sad, cus he's in great shape and can work a great match AND talk. WWE should get him back on the books.

Im guessing TNA cut him loose cus they have Rockstar Spud on he books now.

Gunna watch TNA from the UK in a minute, looking forward to it!

Who has Hunter carried?

Hunter's year was 2000, here's who he feuded with:

Foley

Rock

Jericho

Angle

Benoit

Austin

Hardly like any of those had to be carried.

He couldn't work a good match with Kevin Nash in 2003 or 2011, His programme with Goldberg is best forgotten by everyone, and I suppose everyone remembers those legendary matches with Great Khali and Kane. And great matches with Cena. The only one anyone remember is Wrestlemania 22, which was good not great, and primarily remembered for the stupid amount of heat that it had.

The only 'great' match I can remember him having with someone not on the same level as him as a worker is the Hell in a Cell with Big Dave. I'm probably wrong, but the reality is Hunter has been very clever/lucky in who he's been booked/booked himself with.

HHH is/was a very good worker, Bret's comments are somewhat ridiculous, but pretending Hunter is some kind of revolutionary great worker is misguided.

I have to say HHH's match with Lesnar fucking sucked.

HHH is a great personality though, and that shines through, without it he's average at best.

His Mania 19 match with Booker sucked, it was the worst thing on the card on an excellent PPV.

But his match with Taker this past Mania was excellent, so Bret is talking out his arse if he gives it a 4/10

saw Impact! from Manchester, I expected a much better show....I think it was average at best, the only solid match was tag team championship between chavo/herdandez vs aries/roode

They do want Rock and Brock for Summerslam, as it's in LA and it will increase mainstream publicity, but it's likely to be in seperate matches.

Rock v Brock is the biggest match they have, I doubt they would 'waste' it on a Summerslam.

Taker/Cena is the biggest match they have but will that ever happen? It has to!

Rock/Brock is more Mania suited but wouldn't be surprised if they done it at Summerslam. It will bring in the buyrates.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
