And this just came into my head randomly.

If Half Life 3 does exist (which it must surely do) how does it exist in the year 2013/2014?

Ten years on from Half Life 2, the era of the linear first person shooter is now gone. FPS' are now all about the multiplayer. The closest you can get (I think) is something like Gears, where Gears 3 certainly (not played Judgement yet) seemed to be built for co-operative play.

How can you do Half Life co-operatively? And how do you produce a world beating multiplayer in a completely saturated market.

Anyhoo, as I turn 30 in April next year, that's when I'm going to treat myself to a PS4 I think

But 360/PS3 was always next gen wasn't it? So surely Xbox One/PS4 is now the next Gen, therefore 360/PS3 is current gen? (Making Xbox, PS2 last gen )

You know where FIFA 14 looks really good on the Xbox One/PS4 it's the crowd shots! They actually look like a crowd this time!

I loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas despite all the bugs and glitches. I played Fallout 3 for about a whole year and played no other games during that time.

And in even more exciting news, the Spelunky Daily Challenge has finally made it to Vita! (and PS3).

BF4 gets better and better. I am actually doing OK in a fair few games now, but the thing that impressed me the most yesterday was the Tablet Commander app. You can download the app, and play as commander on your chosen platform without having your console switched on. So I can be sitting on the bog, commanding a game on the X360 servers, earning XP and getting the buzz of the game. Its fuckin ace. Its only just started working on android tablets, but has been stable on ios for a while. I only played one game last night as it was late, but damn it was fun. You can voice chat with the squad leaders, direct the squads to the objectives, call in UAV, EMP and cruise missiles, as well as promote squads, supply drop, health drop, drop quad bikes, mark high value targets and more. Wow.

Sounds good, there is going to be a lot of this kind of stuff from both next gen consoles, looking forward to it and seeing what the Vita can do with the PS4

Picked up BF4 for ps3 yesterday for £19.99 from game on thier black friday deals, I wasn't going to get it but couldn't resist at that price... The bonus of it is you can upgrade to the ps4 version for £10, so i'll have the ps4 version for £30,... bargain

That app looks ace, i'll stick it on the ipad now.

Watched a few videos on you tube of people playing cod remotely on the vita and it's very impressive, might actually get a bit more use out of my vita now

Just attained 100% completion on GTA 5, I could still play it and not get bored. Probably one of my favourite games of all time.

I was tempted for the normal version when Amazon had a Black friday lightning deal for £99! I am still thinking that's to much for one or two games.

I like the 3ds, partly because i can play loads of old N64 games on it, and it also has a few other decent games too.

been playing ocarina of time on it a lot - any recommendations for what else to get?

It is a bad weekend to only have 53p left in the steam wallet.

If I buy battlefield 4 I'm basically condemning myself to living on 20 quid next week, but then I'd have battlefield 4. It might well be a noodle rich week coming up.

Playstation Store has a decent sale on a bunch of stuff at the moment all around £3

Theres the new Flashback game, the Aliens game [which I know got bad reviews, but its £3.05!], Super Streetfighter 4 Arcade Edition and a bunch more including episode games like Strong Bad, Back To The Future etc.

The sale is only on this weekend.

Starting Sunday is the 12 deals of Christmas, which if you've used the playstation store before will know all about

Deals go live at Midnight and last for 48hrs, it will run until Christmas Day.

Its actually 24 deals though cus every 2 days one PS3 game and one Vita game will be put on offer.

Last year there were some really good deals on. So keep an eye on this.
